We had the good fortune of connecting with Zuri Resendiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zuri, how do you think about risk?
I go by no risk no success ,Of course always with a great work ethic. I as a chef I feel like the kitchens are like evolution , is not the tallest or the stronger who survives but the one who adapts is the one who will survive, I always think about that whenever I start a project or new jobs. Adapting to succeed, as time passes everything changes that means we are constantly learning and adapting. Even the decision of coming from another country was the first risk I took and it’s has been a great journey.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been super energetic, As a kid I always got tired of routine quick.  That’s why the kitchen opened my eyes to a new world , always new projects new thing to learn new kitchen stations.

I always was amazed by the fact of pleasure we feel when we eat , the happiness of been together on a table and smile , laugh , have a great time .
So i question my self does food do that ? So from that movement I decided I wanted to be a chef , and Create food the  to creates memories the will always be there.
Food is Art. The process of changing solids to purées. Oils , braising meats ,Acids. Sugars . Sweets food has to be a explosion of flavors , but with a story  And that’s what I offer at luchador food truck with roots and story’s
As a chef and professional I know it’s hard to work in kitchen
We are warrior, Bakers,Pastry cooks,Line cooks, Servers, Dish washer, Chefs, and Hostess. We all are luchadores. We leave everything on the ring to make our guest happy
For me the sound of the pans , knifes moving fast, fire from the stove. And the coordination of your team it’s like a nice song with lots of flow. And as a chef I am the one who is in charge to keep that flow and it’s majestic that’s is art
