Meet Sasha Smothers | Realtor & Mindset Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sasha Smothers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sasha, what inspires you?
Nothing inspires me more than the truth and being present. We live in a world that is so consumed by the media that we don’t realize how out of balance it makes us. When we are all honest and transparent with each other, it makes the world a better place. I love being around people who want to help make a positive difference.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When looking at my real estate business, my hands on approach and genuine care sets me apart from most others in the industry. I come across agents every day who do the bare minimum and just focus on getting their clients under contract and then pass them off to a team member. I tell my clients that I am here to hold their hand every step of the way. I give them a fair warning that we better like each other because we will talk almost every day between going under contract and making it to the closing table. Real estate is a whole separate language and even if you have been through the process before, you may not be fluent in the language. This is why I like to take the time to be there for my client’s every step of the way.
When it comes to my coaching business. I do this because it is a passion of mine. Each program has the same principles and is also customized for the client I am working with. I want everyone to know their infinite worth and value. We all have trauma from our childhood and it doesn’t need to define us. There is so much out there, and right in front of our faces, that we don’t even realize. How different would your world look if you understood it? The first time I worked with a coach was in late 2019. I started with a fitness coach who was wanting to get into mindset coaching so I started with her as she began her business. She shifted so much for me and I will forever be grateful for my coach, Tatiana. When I met my husband, he took things to the next level and was the one who inspired me to start my own coaching program. My husband saw the heart that I have and since I had been doing the deep work for years at that point, he saw my potential.
I have the best support system around me which was allowed me to take my passions to the next level and support other people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love getting out in nature. Any opportunity I have to connect with Mother Earth is a win for me! Golden feels like home to me. Any opportunity I have to be in town or hiking nearby is a win. I used to live at the base of South Table Mesa and would hike it regularly. I loved watching the sunrise from the top. This past year, my family and I have been part of the community garden in downtown Golden. Being so close to the river and seeing all the people walk by is always fun. After being in the sun, we grab a pizza with our daughter at Atomic Cowboy’s. Golden City Brewery is also a fun spot. We keep dice in the car and will play Yahtzee! Simply walking in town and exploring the shops is a great way to spend a few hours. I am also a huge ice cream person so grabbing some ice cream from Little Man is always worth the wait!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be here today if it weren’t for my husband. When I first got into real estate, like most agents, I was doing it part time. I was terrified of taking the leap and going all in. My husband is the one who saw my potential and the fire within me to succeed. When it comes to the mindset piece of things, he also took my knowledge to the next level. When we first met, he gave me a book to read and little did I know, it was a test. That book has completely changed my outlook on life. I also want to give credit to my real estate mentor and friend, Angela Kemper. Angela guided me through the process with my first transaction here in Colorado. She made me realize that I knew more than I was giving myself credit for and helped me find my confidence. To this day, Angela is someone that I know will always have my back and wants to see me succeed.
