Meet Savannah Reynolds | Events & Marketing Coordinator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Like most people, I started working from home in 2020 and was forced to create a healthy work life balance. My work life balance has fluctuated through job changes, moving and welcoming a daughter into my family. My ultimate goals in creating a good balance is truly logging off at the end of my work day and focusing on participating in things that bring me true joy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I graduated with a degree in Journalism and Media Communications from Colorado State University in 2019, and wasn’t entirely sure where I wanted to go professionally. I worked for the University’s College of Business for a short period of time before reaching out to Rocky Mountain Bride, a bridal magazine based and created in the Rocky Mountains.
I used Rocky Mountain Bride as a resource for planning my wedding the summer before and loved everything the magazine was putting out. As I immersed myself in the wedding world of the Rocky Mountains, I became obsessed with the beauty and love created in this industry. This eventually led me to working on a ranch owned and operated by my family in the Gunnison Valley as the Events & Marketing Coordinator. My day-to-day now consists of working with couples in curating their dream wedding weekend at our ranch.
Working in the wedding industry is not for the faint of heart, but it is so rewarding to see the beauty you helped bring to life for a couple.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in the Gunnison Valley, there are endless opportunities for outdoor activities. No trip to the area would be complete without a trip to our family ranch, Harmels on the Taylor, for a day of fly fishing, horseback riding and whitewater rafting the Taylor River. Some other of my favorite must-sees are Tin Cup, a historic mining town, along with lunch at Frenchy’s on the Pond complete with a piece of their famous homemade pie. Shopping on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte is great for local boutiques and beautiful views of Mount Crested Butte. I also always take my out of town guests to eat at some of my favorite Crested Butte restaurants including: The Slogar, The Breadery and Paradise Cafe, so those are an absolute must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Tyler, for always pushing me to pursue my dreams and get out of my comfort zone. Without his love and support, I would not have had the courage to make the career or life changes that have put me where I am today.
