We had the good fortune of connecting with Sawsan Isbaitah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sawsan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The effect that coaching had on me, with my nursing background and my communication skills and education, changed my personality to be more positive. I learned problem solving, changing negative emotions from my past, and gaining tools to help me in my future, I felt I needed to share it with as many people as I could, replacing my career with a life purpose.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
CoachSawsan.com is an online life coaching business that reaches people world-wide. Direct personal interaction between myself and clients isn’t easy, but seeing the results in people’s lives is a huge difference because Life Coach touches people on an intimate level. Doing Life Coaching in person or by video conference puts me in a position of having to address other people’s fears, secrets, traumas, emotions, etc. This creates a struggle to remain a listener, not a talker; recognizing the lump in a person’s throat, the tears welling in their eyes, the shaking of their hands and tremor in their voice.
I’m proud and excited of putting my education in to practice. I use NLP, hypnosis, sound healing, and psychoneuroimmunology (negative emotions and thoughts impact on the body’s immune systems) with my clients. A successful coaching session starts transforming their lives from the very first session.
I started in nursing, then moved to corporate communications. The transition to self-employed life coach was relatively easy. I already saw the world without concern for ethnicity, religion, or gender, but one of people helping people.
Addressing the need outside of a local community where face-to-face meetings were possible, and into a cyber-video world with global clients was a tough change, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced so many service providers online that this has now become the primary means of a life coach reaching clients.
When it comes to my brand and the story of CoachSawsan.com people should know that you can overcome anything in life. Sometimes we just need a little support from a non-biased coach we can talk with in confidence.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My home😊
I’m far from the big city. My home overlooks the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range and from my front porch visitors can see from Spanish Peaks to Leadville. Blue skies, constantly changing views as the shadows pass over the mountains, running streams, trees, deer, elk, and many other animals grace the drive and are everywhere you look.
I would take a best friend to the local ice cream and coffee shops that dot Main Street. From Tony’s Pizza in Silverciff to Chappy’s in Westcliffe there are places to stop, sit, talk, and experience a real Colorado mountain town. We would grab a coffee at Tumbleweeds. Head over the mountains to Bishop’s Castle to the East, or Great Sand Dunes to the West.
We would visit Smoky Jack’s Observatory in the first certified Dark Skies community in the U.S. The stars are unbelievable up here in the Wet Mountain Valley.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My personal coach, Robert Cemic, established the base from which I built my business. Corinne Klose, a Client Happiness Coach, was essential to helping me find my way out of the global corporate world and into a world where I can support others.
