Meet Sean Kelly | Professional Wedding DJ & Event Coordinator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Kelly and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sean, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I used to grin and bear it in the corporate world, but didn’t experience the joy I feel being a wedding DJ and running my events business. To be fair, I eat a lot more cake as a professional event DJ than I did as a marketing expert working in the agency world… but I am happy to apply my expertise to my passion – live events.
I launched my business, S+L Events, with my partner, Lindsay, because I saw an opportunity to produce the highest quality weddings for my couples, and most efficient events for my corporate clients. I break the mold of the typical DJ by utilizing high-level project management and exceptional organization to ensure my clients experience the event they deserve.
Starting a business takes a lot of hard work and determination, but I am happy to go the extra mile to produce events worthy of the beautiful weddings Colorado hosts!

What should our readers know about your business?
Being in the business of fun certainly doesn’t mean it’s easy. Lindsay and I work hard every day to ensure we are doing everything we can to market our business, make connections in the community, and give back where we can, all while producing high-quality events for every single one of our clients. Luckily, our professional backgrounds have given us the skills we need to succeed, and we do everything we can to be always improving. With our immediate families and closest friends primarily on the east coast we rely on making connections in the community to generate leads, and love that our clients continue to refer us wherever and whenever possible, after experiencing an S+L event for themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being in the wedding industry, I think it’s only fair we list some of our favorite wedding venues 🙂
Grant Humphrey’s Mansion – Denver
The Nest Above – Estes Park
Arrowhead Golf Course – Colorado Springs
Chateaux at Fox Meadows – Boulder
We also hear you can get married at Red Rocks – which would be a dream for us to be involved with!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
None of this would not be possible without my partner, Lindsay, and her commitment to our business!
