We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawntel Techaira and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawntel, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Real estate can be intimidating for many people and that may prevent them getting started in buying and investing. I cultivate an approachable environment for clients to feel comfortable at any stage of their real estate journey.

Helping clients invest + sell real estate since 2009 I’ve learned that real estate is a safe asset for the long term that can be leveraged and utilized as a vehicle for growing generational wealth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My origin story starts on the tropical shores of Guam raised in the CHamoru culture of Inafa’Maolek. Inafa’maolek means to make good and it’s the guiding principle of my life + business. Operating from this lens allows for mutual trust with clients knowing that I have their best interest in mind so they can make confident real estate decisions.

As a seasoned agent and Certified Pricing Strategy Advisor I expertly analyze real estate through the eyes of a real estate investor and take pride in providing reliable trustworthy real estate guidance.

I’m a big advocate for homeownership and as we continue to see real estate value increase year over year it is important for me to highlight pathways to homeownership.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado is a a beautiful state and I get super excited to showcase it’s beauty and what it has to offer! We could get a lot done in a week with memorable experiences that are one of a kind!

We can drive up a beautiful scenic route up Mount Blue Sky the highest paved road in North America, soak in the tranquil + relaxing waters of Mother Spring the deepest geothermal hot spring in the world. Cross the highest suspension bridge in America at Royal Gorge Bridge. Sand board at the highest sand dunes in North America, The Great Sand Dunes and wind down at The Garden of The Gods. If we are feeling super ambitious we can tour Four National Parks: Rocky Mountain, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Mesa Verde, and The Great Sand Dunes.

Colorado is home to Five Michelin Star Restaurants and offers lots of shopping opportunities at The Outlets of Castle Rock and Cherry Creek Mall. We can stroll Wash Park as we eat ice cream from Bonnie Brae.

Whatever your tempo there’s so much to do in Colorado!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Building a real estate business takes time and perseverance and I’m grateful + thankful to be in business since 2009 thanks to the trust, word of mouth recommendation, referrals, and repeat business from loyal clients and advocates for my business.

I’m blessed to be backed by an amazing community and family that has supported me through every market shift. In the end all Glory to God for placing me in the path of opportunity to be of service.
