We had the good fortune of connecting with Skye Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Skye, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say true authenticity. I try not to do what others are doing. Or jump on any trend. I am just going with what I have learned over the years and ways that have helped me navigate through my own ailments. I also think being present and really listening to what my clients are saying is an important factor. If I can continue to just naturally be my vulnerable self, I will attract a successful business.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It was challenging to get where I am today because trying to maintain a small business is extremely difficult. From the buildout to the contractors to Covid happening in the midst of it all. There are lots of challenging obstacles to get through in order to open a small business. I have very supportive people around me so that has played a role in my success. My brand stands a little bit a part from others since we work as a holistic entity. People are seeking more and more of that out.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Denver is the Mecca for healthy food. I would take them to linger or Just Be Kitchen and have them experience the wonderful joys of yummy Nutritious foods. I would then find a local comedy venue and take them to one of my favorite things to do. Live comedy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first shoutout has to go to my very first mentor. I started out in Billings Montana and Pam Byorth introduced me to skincare. I also need to give a shout-out to Denver Community acupuncture and Dr. Caitlin O’Conner. That group of healing ladies lead me into my holistic knowledge as I got to learn from them for 7 years. And can’t not mention my wonderful, supportive parents who supported me in whatever I wanted to do. No questions asked.
