We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Kwong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what do you attribute your success to?
My business only grows if I do.

That understanding has led me to achieve bigger numbers and a deeper impact with my offerings. So often, we’re led to believe that growth has to be achieved by constantly pushing, climbing, and performing – such that we neglect caring for ourselves, and our internal state of being, which leads to anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, physical, mental and emotional health issues, or wanting to push the big red button on your business and just eject it all.

But our businesses are mirrored reflections of our subconscious minds. The “messes” we accumulate throughout our lives – whether it’s past traumas, limiting beliefs or behaviors, lingering negative emotions, etc. – present themselves in our work. It doesn’t matter how much strategy, marketing, or tweaking we do in our operations to soothe our problems, if we don’t attend to the root source: the inner workings of ourselves. Trying to focus only on the business aspect would be like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

The good news, I’ve found, is that this is an opportunity, both for your business, and yourself. When you reach a barrier, you can define it, and then you can evolve through it.

I attribute my success – my ability to scale my past businesses and grow my current company, the Rapid Rewire Method – to the constant inner work I do in order to evolve, transform and then optimize my limiting beliefs, and create a new identity: to be the kind of person who has the success I want to create for myself.

Whenever I hit a barrier or plateau with my business, I know I’ve hit a limit with myself. Which means that taking the next step is going to require a next-level version of myself. I allow myself the same time, energy, and investment into my personal growth as I do in my business; often, this comes in surprisingly small personal shifts. For example, shifting from a goal of increasing revenue to one of increasing my offer’s value has brought about some incredible successes for me.

I think it’s easy to get caught up in the so-called “sexy” work of business; taking everything to the next level, and the level beyond that, but the “dirty” work is most important, in my eyes. Digging into ourselves, finding out what brings us joy and fulfillment, what kind of results would really feel aligned with our deepest sense of success, breaking through everything that’s been holding us back…it’s so important, so I consider myself lucky to be in the business of helping people do that work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud and excited about the fact that my business is geared toward tools that are really here to serve humanity. It’s not just about wanting to hit numbers, it’s actually about shedding as much ego as I can and focusing on viewing my work as a contribution. The Rapid Rewire Method is a set of tools people can use to create quick, permanent relief for any mental and emotional issues that are keeping you stuck, stressed, or doubtful; we live in the era of Netflix and Amazon, and it’s my belief that mental and emotional wellbeing should be just as easy to access and fast. Knowing that the ultimate mission behind my company isn’t about numerical goals, but helping people “un-stuck” and empower themselves has kept me focused and motivated even on the hard days.

I’m particularly excited by these tools because I have 20+ years of experience in the field of personal development; I’ve been a highly trained advanced practitioner in a range of modalities for more than a decade, and as I witness more and more people becoming aware of the fact that, in order to grow their companies, they have to grow their inner selves, I realized that there was a need for a modality that worked quickly and permanently to clear limiting beliefs and behaviors. I was introduced to these tools after experiencing the greatest trauma of my adult life, and when I experienced unparalleled, fast, permanent results, it was like the universe sent a beam directly to my mind: EVERYONE needs these tools. It’s an honor to be a steward of them.

The work of an entrepreneur is never easy, but there are ways to circumvent some of the common challenges. Seeking mentorship is absolutely critical; find someone who’s been doing similar work and learn which potholes to avoid. I think this lesson is crucial because it will also teach you that, in order to grow and scale your business, you must welcome support from others. You also have to be able to trust your team, acknowledge that you can’t do the work alone, and focusing on building regenerative relationships both within and outside of your organization.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Finding good food is like a sport to me, and I want to be the best. Incredible dining experiences are extremely important to me, so this is a kick*ss list of diverse foods: – Wayne’s Smoke Shack
– Uchi
– Restaurant Olivia
– My Thai Cafe
– Snooze
– Bacon Social Club
– El Five
I would also take people to Carbondale’s True Nature Healing Arts Center or, cliff-diving off the Devil’s Punchbowl in Snowmass, or hit the Strawberry Hot Springs. I know that Chautauqua is the typical hiking spot for a gorgeous view of the Flatirons, but I’d take them to the local’s secret trailhead for a quieter, equally beautiful experience: Shanahan Ridge. And if we needed somewhere to post up and do some work, there’s no place better than Nurture in Denver.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve been fortunate enough to have a number of incredible mentors throughout my life, though I do wish I’d shed my “lone-wolf” persona a bit earlier in my career. This is a PSA for anyone and everyone, not just entrepreneurs: you’ll save yourself a LOT of painful experiences if you have someone to help guide you around easily-avoidable holes. Even if you have to pay for a mentor, it’s the most important investment you can make.

One of my mentors, Barry Gordy IV, said something that quickly became a tenant of my life: “If someone has a hand in your blessing, bless them back.” I think we live in a culture that idolizes competition, taking, growing, sprinting, and beating other people to success. But the best (and fastest) way to attain the goals you want, is to help someone else achieve theirs. Because I’ve lived by this belief, I’ve witnessed the work I do flourish, and aided in some deep blessings for others. That’s the kind of “company culture” I strive to cultivate; one that makes space for the success of everyone.
