Meet Tanya Owens | Holistic Beauty & Wellness Guide

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanya Owens and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanya, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing most people don’t realize about the beauty industry is that you choose your outward personal style every single day. It’s the first thing people see, the most visible version of who you are—and yet, many of us do it on autopilot.
I had a client once who said, “I don’t even know what my style is anymore. I feel lost in how I look.” I simply said, “Look in the mirror.” So, we turned to the mirror together. He was wearing rust-colored corduroy pants, an orange sweater, and socks covered in pizza slices. The style was there—it just hadn’t been acknowledged yet.
It’s wild to me that we can walk through a store without having an identity crisis. The amount of choice—colors, textures, cuts—is overwhelming. And yet, every item we pick is a reflection of something inside. The interesting part is, most people don’t choose a style that actually reflects who they are on the inside and out.
That’s where my work blends beauty and holistic coaching. When we work together, we don’t just talk about what looks good—we explore how you feel, what you’ve outgrown, and how to align your outer self with your inner truth. Whether it’s hair, wardrobe, or your whole vibe—we bring it all back into harmony.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart in my business is how I blend the essence of each client into a personalized, soul-centered experience. No two sessions are the same. I combine mind, body, and spirit in every appointment, allowing each client to explore what resonates most with them—whether that’s calling in an Archangel, beginning with a prayer, or selecting a crystal. We follow the path that feels most aligned and natural for them.
My goal is to walk alongside clients for 3–6 months, helping them create a personalized holistic toolkit they can rely on any time—for inspiration, stress relief, and grounding. This toolkit is rooted in their own unique soul gifts, making it both deeply personal and incredibly empowering.
The journey to build this business wasn’t easy. I worried that weaving spiritual elements into the beauty and mentorship space might come off as too “woo-woo.” It can be scary to lead with your authentic self—but I’ve found that it’s also the clearest way to attract the right people. And I’ve been incredibly grateful to work with clients who feel like they were placed in my path on purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A.M.
I’d start the morning on my patio, watching the sunrise with a warm cup of coffee in hand—my favorite way to ease into the day. After a few grounding sun salutations, I’d invite her to dabble in my personal spray collection—maybe a spritz of Jo Malone’s Tonka & Myrrh for something luxe, or one of my custom plant-based blends for a more earthy vibe.

Next, we’d hit up some of my favorite local gems for holistic tools and soul supplies—Soul Inspiration and Crystal Haven are must-visits. Of course, we’d swing by the beauty supply store too—because let’s be real, there’s always something new and exciting to explore there. For a casual bite, no shame—Chick-fil-A is my guilty pleasure and always hits the spot.
P.M.
To wind down, we’d roll out the yoga mat. Whether it’s the strength and flow at Rocky Mountain Pilates or the heat and release at CorePower Yoga, these studios always help me reconnect and realign.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a shout out to intuition. As humans, we often underestimate how powerful our gut instinct really is. I’ve learned that if I’m not aligning my mind, body, and spirit in everything I do, I slip into overthinking—and that’s when things start to feel out of sync. In my business, I wouldn’t have come this far without trusting my intuition. It’s led me to take bold, sometimes wild leaps, but every single one has helped shape where I am today.
We hold ourselves back so often with “What ifs,” but I’m here to tell you—it’s worth it. Even if you fall flat on your face, you gain clarity, growth, and resilience. Intuition won’t always feel comfortable, but it always knows the way.
