We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Christman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tara, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want to be remembered as more than a business owner. I want my legacy to reflect a life led with courage, compassion, and integrity. I am a woman, a mother, a friend, and a professional. In all those roles, I have tried to lead with heart and show up for the people around me.

I want to be known as someone who wasn’t afraid to take chances, who stood up for what was right, and who built something meaningful that made life a little easier for others. I hope people remember my sense of humor, too. Business doesn’t have to be boring. I believe you can be excellent at what you do and still laugh, still bring joy, and still be deeply human in the process.

If people say I made them feel seen, supported, and maybe even smiled on a hard day, then I’ve done something right. That is the kind of legacy I want to leave behind.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Eleva Ease wasn’t built from a business plan. It was built from bold decisions and a deep belief that things could be done better. After being laid off, I took my severance pay and invested in a career coach. We went back and forth for a solid 20 minutes about whether the kind of company I wanted to build even made sense. I told her there aren’t many marketing companies structured like mine. She asked, “But should there be?” My answer was simple. Absolutely.

I wanted to create a company that offers real solutions, not just services. A team that helps clients feel seen and heard, helps them get found, and takes some of the stress off their shoulders. All without the smoke and mirrors. I joke sometimes that I’m on a one woman campaign against shady marketing practices. Even years after I am gone, I hope people say I led with integrity and gave this industry a little more honesty.

My kids were already out of the house when I started this, but that doesn’t mean life slows down. I still need to show up for graduations, for the birth of my first grandson, and for the people I love. That is part of what drives me. I want my team and my clients to know that business success should not come at the cost of real life.

Eleva Ease is woman owned, Colorado rooted, and built on the belief that you can be strategic and human at the same time. You will find me running meetings in ripped jeans with my dog Goobs snoring under the desk, laughing through the chaos, and never compromising on the values that got us here.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d plan the week around the season, but there are a few things I’d make sure we did no matter what.

First, we’re going to Ginger and Baker. It is one of my absolute favorite places to eat, and their pie is a must. We’d definitely grab some coffee after that, probably more than one cup if I am being honest. Then I’d take them up into the foothills. There is always a great walking trail or hike to be found, and the views are such a perfect way to reset and take it all in.

If we had a full week, I would plan a drive through the mountains. If they were up for it, maybe even a camping trip to Ridgeway. I have so many great memories there. It is beautiful and peaceful, the kind of place that reminds you to slow down and just breathe for a minute.

If it was just a weekend trip, I would keep it local and see what is happening around town. Maybe catch a show at Bas Bleu, wander through Old Town, grab something great to eat, and just enjoy being in good company.

Good food, some nature, a little local art, and a whole lot of laughter. That is my kind of Colorado week.
