Meet Tara Skubella | Founder and Guide of Earth Tantra

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Skubella and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Earth Tantra invites people to slow down, reconnect, and remember. As we feel rushed, overstimulated, and disconnected, I help people come home to their bodies, breath, and the rhythms of nature. Practices weave together ancient tantric principles, earth-based wisdom (and learning to become intimate with nature – beyond a connecting, and somatic techniques to guide individuals on a journey of deep self-discovery, healing, and embodiment.
At the heart of Earth Tantra we believe that true transformation begins within, and that peace ripples outward into the world. Participants are invited to explore intimacy with themselves, others, and the Earth. This creates a global impact rooted in presence, compassion, and integration.
Earth Tantra is changing the world by helping people reclaim their sacred sensuality (beyond sexual intimacy), trust their primal instincts, and walk in alignment with their truth. Earth Tantra is not just a practice—it’s a way of being. It teaches that every breath, every moment, and every connection is an opportunity for awakening.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Earth Tantra was born from a deep personal awakening after filming a survival television show called Naked and Afraid. The journey of Earth Tantra was an inner calling to remember and reclaim the sacredness of being human. She is more than a business; it’s a movement rooted in slowing down, tuning into the Earth, and awakening to the primal wisdom within our bodies. What sets Earth Tantra apart is its grounded, non-performative approach to tantra. We strip away the flashy mystique and bring people back to the breath, the body, and the soil beneath their feet. This isn’t about escaping life—it’s about embodying it fully. Earth Tantra is not a pop-up wellness offering since the pandemic. She was birthed in 2016, and has steadily grown since.
I’m most proud of the raw, real, and often tender spaces I’ve been able to hold for others. From guiding breathwork in the desert, to witnessing women howl their truth beneath the moon, to supporting couples deepening sacred sexuality to leading sacred death retreat. Each moment is a thread in the beautiful tapestry that is Earth Tantra. I’m excited by how the brand continues to evolve. Earth Tantra has grown into an intuitive business mentorship for those longing to lead from their soul.
The path to growing Earth Tantra hasn’t been easy. Early on there some (short lived) moments of doubt and financial uncertainty. I was once told Earth Tantra will be misunderstood. Earth Tantra has also faced social media blocking because the word “tantra” is often times soly connected to sexuality. Unfortunately, we will forever be banned on some level with the meta family. I overcame challenges by trusting in who is mean to find Earth Tantra, will. I’ve also learned to lead with authenticity rather than strategy, to honor my nervous system, and to build a business that mirrors the natural rhythms I live by.
As a wilderness guide and survivalist, I have the embeddedness of perseverance and tenacity. I knew early on, with the birth of Earth Tantra, my path of guiding others in this way was a fact and place of is vs a question. I trusted the universe and what is meant to be is meant to be. So, my lessons continue to be that of #stopconnectlistentrust
Growing and continue to nurture a business is always a challenging one. I hope anyone reading this understands my story isn’t one of hustle—it’s one of devotion, alchemy, awakening, and continuation of evolution.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a dear friend was visiting the area, I would want to take a hike up Escalante/ Dominguez Canyon, near my home in Delta, CO. After a 6-8 mile hike, we would come to my home, Raven Wild Farm. This little small 8 acre farm is a beautiful healing space in which many find refuge in retreat. It’s also a place embedded deep in my bones and heart. Next we would sit in our bee apiary hut (apiary therapy) in stillness as the bees vibrate beneath us. For dinner, I would cook something from the land and include our farm fresh eggs. The day would end in watching the moon rise about the sacred tipi on the farm in silence.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I shoutout to my dear French friend, “Cy”. Cy introduced me to Tantra spring of 2015. Cy was also a huge part of my spiritual awakening process. Cy was with me along the way as a friend and brother.
A second shoutout goes out to the Earth Tantra community. Without everyone’s support, trust and deep love for healing with nature and transforming with tantra, Earth Tantra would not exist. Thank you to all who believe in me as a guide and the nature of Earth Tantra.
