We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor McLemore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
At Tilt, we help companies manage leave for their employees (everything from parental leave to military leave). I like to think of leave as the intersection of work and life, and this occurs for every person at some point (or many points) in their career. Most companies think about leave as something that just happens, a rather reactive stance. We regularly see companies with 10%+ of their employees utilizing leave in a given year. This is a major workforce influence and can have a significant impact on a company’s success. A proactive approach improves how a company can manage leave, and a positive leave experience can generate significant employee loyalty and retention. This is a major lever for employee attraction, retention, and productivity. Companies have no choice but to manage leave (it’s the law), and there is a massive opportunity available to every company in managing leave well.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tilt is built on the experience of our Founder & CEO, Jen. Leave is the intersection of work and life. People take leave for joyous occasions, like the birth of a child or adoption, or for times of challenge and mourning, like health challenges or the loss of a loved one. Tilt is at a moment of meteoric growth, we are embracing this exciting moment of AI, AND we refuse to become a technology solution that loses the human element. Leave is personal and human, and we stand resolute that there is space for high growth and strong financial performance companies to be massive in their impact and stay true to delivering a human solution.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A hike in Golden, followed by the best Italian food in North Denver at Grammies Goodies.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
