We had the good fortune of connecting with Thaise Hahn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thaise, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Having struggled with infertility for many years, I felt the weight and the pain of a tainted self image. I heavily struggled to see myself as worthy, whole and beautiful in my own right. I carried around this weight that constantly made every day life a struggle for me.
It wasn’t until I welcomed my first daughter after a very difficult IVF cycle that I allowed myself to seek beauty in this world again. It was then I realized I needed to honor my own journey toward self love and purpose to experience what true freedom felt like.
I then decided to build my business and my brand on the premise of finding beauty in every one I photographed. Once I opened my studio, I transitioned organically to photographing mostly women who like myself, needed to be reminded of their own beauty and worth.
I enjoy giving my clients the pampering experience of a makeover, beautiful gowns and a 4-5 hour photoshoot tailored just for them. I have witnessed time and time again how this experience can be quite transformative and impacting whether they are 20 or 90 years old.
I strive to provide more than a photoshoot. I strive to provide an experience where women are allowed and even encouraged to be fully themselves and feel celebrated for it. Be it vulnerable, strong, sassy or whatever else they may be.
Their only requirement is for them to enjoy themselves. I make sure they are styled, posed and directed in a thoughtful and sensitive way so that their images come out beautiful and memorable so that their photographs can be appreciated for generations to come.
I strongly believe in empowering the women in my community, so they too can empower and impact the women in their own communities. These women continue to breathe life and purpose into my life and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve and honor their stories and legacy through my art and my craft.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I graduated with a degree in Advertising and Publicity in Brazil and photography was a very important part of my degree. However, it wasn’t until I overcame infertility many years later that I allowed myself to feel alive again and truly pursued my photography business. That was truly a healing journey for me and a beautiful new start.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have always been into arts. Before I became a portrait artist I used to be a ballerina. I loved being on the stage! The Denver Performing Arts are always my go to place.
For special occasions, the Flagstaff House in Boulder is always memorable, the views are to die for!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sue Bryce has been a wonderful mentor and resource to me as I started to grow my business.
