We had the good fortune of connecting with The Losers Club and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think as a group we really embrace risks. You have to if you’re gonna start a band. Thats really where you grow though too. You learn a lot from throwing yourself into situations you’re maybe not ready for. Honestly, our first show was a great example of that. We found an opportunity to play really early on and jumped on it. Definitely was a risk at the time, but we got a great lesson in performing and showmanship and it set the tone for us moving forward. Shout out to Hayley Steiner by the way. She took a risk on us letting us play our first ever show at her venue and we are still very thankful for it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are just three dudes who love playing and writing music, still far from professional hahah. All of our music comes from a personal place whether it be lyrically, the riffs Tristin or I play, or what Cade does on the drums. Everything we’ve played has a little piece of all of us in it which is a really cool thing. It’s not like one of us fully dictates where a song is gonna go. The process is super organic and it’s always something all three of us like by the end of it which is exciting.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Man thats tough… I think for one you gotta go down town and see the city. RiNo is awesome and has a ton of great bars and restaurants. Larimer Lounge is one of our favorites. Maybe check out some of the mountain towns they’re all great you can’t go wrong. Then if there was time I’d definitely take them to go see The Losers Club!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well obviously we have a really long way to go still. We really just got this started. With that being said however, I think our parents for sure deserve a ton of credit for being supportive. I gotta imagine it’s slightly unnerving when your kid tells you they’re starting a punk band. They’ve all been great though and really encouraging which is awesome. Also all of our friends who come out to our gigs and the people who run the venues. Playing live is by far the best part of all this and its because of them we get to do it.
