We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always been excited about new opportunities and ways to serve the community that I’m apart of. After having started and run a successful company previously, I was looking towards what opportunity could be my “forever.” What would be the dream that I could be passionate about for the rest of my life and hand down to my children?

And then the idea came! The ranch has been in my family for 122 years and began with my great-grandfather and great-grandmother. Though the property is still home to a successful cattle ranch, I envisioned a modern-rustic wedding venue with the stunning mountain backdrops and sprawling fields on either side. The dream has now become a reality, and I couldn’t be more thankful!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Starting a wedding venue is not for the faint of heart! Though I knew that it would be a long process to actualize my Marchand Rand dream, I had no idea how many obstacles we would face along the way. From construction to marketing, there have been numerous hiccups in the process. But I thank the Lord that we are where we are today, and after 2 years of design, construction and marketing we are finally hosting the weddings and events we’ve dreamed of.

I could never have done it without my husband, Ty. (It sure does help to have a spouse who is able to build the things that I dream up in my mind!)

As Marchand Ranch continues to build a reputation in Colorado and the surrounding states, my hope is that we would be known as a venue where you can experience your dream wedding while also enjoy a tranquil, peaceful environment. Too many people find their wedding day to be horribly stressful, and I don’t think it needs to be that way. We have provided a spacious, affordable & peaceful environment, as well as tools and a day of coordinator (at no extra cost) to help their day flow smoothly from start to finish.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Canon City might be a “small town,” but it’s a small town with BIG experiences! When you bring your family and friends for your wedding weekend, make sure that they reserve lodging for several days before and afterwards to enjoy the surrounding area.

They will be blown away by the views and gondola ride at The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, just 10 minutes from the Ranch. World famous rock climbing exists within 10 miles, and burgers as big as a frisbee are just a few miles further at Big Burger World in Canon City.

From unbelievable Indian food on Main St. at Nirvana to freshly roasted coffee at Cafe Belay, your tastebuds will have endless treats to enjoy!

If hiking is something you enjoy, be sure to take advantage of local hiking and mountain biking trails. If hiking isn’t your thing, enjoy a ride on the Royal Gorge train- the scenery will take your breath away!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my parents, Gary and Debbie.
