Meet Tray Cal | Recording artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tray Cal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tray, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
For as long as I remember I have loved music, my father would fill the house with the sound of him playing the bass and before I knew it……I wanted to create my own sound.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am sort of a Jack of all trades when it comes to music, I understand the mechanics that revolve around creating a cohesive sound regardless of the genre. Lately i have had time to marvel upon my work and I am excited to deliver the plethora of different sounds I’ve been withholding in my arsenal. Before i began recording professionally, i was writing poetry and using a rock band mic to track all of my songs. To be honest….seeing where i am now as opposed to where i was is a blessing in its own. One thing this journey has taught me is that consistency is a valuable asset when choosing to be a musician. My plan is to take my music to a global level and be the inspiration to those who threw in the towel before reaching their full potential. One day I hope the world understands that Tray Cal and the Paradise brand is a symbol of optimism and an avid believer in being the person you believe yourself to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend of mine were to visit….since I’m currently in Colorado I would take them to the studio I record at first (AML recording studio) and then I would show them a great time at purple martini which is located in Denver.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize my father for the influence he’s had on my creative journey, his love for music of all kinds was the spark to the flame that inspired me to walk down the path of creativity.
