We had the good fortune of connecting with Trina Worthington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I feel like the most important factor to my success is consistent quality. I’ve seen many businesses fail because as time goes by the quality declines usually due to lack of time or energy. A high quality product will always produce success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was a stay at home mom raising four beautiful children when I decided I could help out financially by making and selling cinnamon rolls at the local gas station. I was told by some that it wouldn’t work, not enough people would buy cinnamon rolls in a tiny town to make it worth it. I, of course, took that as a challenge and had to prove them wrong. My cinnamon rolls are an old family recipe, hand mixed, made fresh daily, unlike other baked goods that you buy at a store. After several years of baking cinnamon rolls I then decided to purchase a local motel. Immediately after the purchase we remodeled all the rooms and turned it into a beautiful rustic Inn. I am the managing owner of the Marsh Creek Inn in Albion, Idaho and have several customers that know of my cinnamon rolls and will order some along with their reservation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Albion is a very small town, I would take my friend up to the top of mount harrison. Depending on the time of year we could go skiing or visit one of the nations most beautiful high mountain lakes. I would take them to eat at Edith’s in Burley, Idaho or Wick’s steak place in Declo Idaho for some amazing local food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My recipe and baking skills were handed down from my Grandmother, Donna Andersen. I remember spending hours in the kitchen watching and learning from the best! My Grandparents were homesteaders with many acres of farm land so along with baking skills they also taught me the value of hard work. I am so grateful to them for everything they taught me.
