We had the good fortune of connecting with Trisha Ventker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trisha, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
When my family first moved here from Manhattan 13 years ago I noticed there wasn’t many stylish “Vogue-type” magazines in Colorado. Our local town was lacking a voice for the people. I started my publishing business with ELIFE magazine which covers Erie and its surrounding towns. ELIFE grew so quickly, I introduced another publication called NOCO which covers all of Northern Colorado. NoCo grew with leaps and bounds and then I added Denver Colorado Luxury magazine. All three have garnered close to 9 million total reader impressions over the years.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe there are many different lives one can live. Here are the different professions I have done over the years: Nurse, Teacher, Photographer, Published Author, Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, Business Coach, Social Media Guru, Internet Dating Coach.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a Day Trip or Weekend Trip/ First I would visit the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, next I’d bring my friends to the Source Market and have lunch at Safta to enjoy the Moroccan and Israeli specialties. Next stop would go visit RiNo Art District to see the incredible art on the buildings. A stop at Barcelona for Happy Hour is a must. Barcelona has the best tapas in Denver. We would head up to the Selfie Museum to take selfies and get a few laughs. For dinner, we’d go to Larimer and have dinner at Ocean Prime or Tamayo. We’d stroll Larimer street and retreat at the Brown Palace or The Art Hotel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank Gary Barnes and Janine Bolon for their excellent business coaching.
