We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Lindvall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I truly believe that it is our people. Our people that respect our culture and our brand. It was very important to me early on to create an environment that was family oriented, collaborative, and very open to the opinions of its members. There is a much larger feeling of success when you share in it with the folks around you that have ALL worked so hard to maintain the brand, the identity, and the culture. When we all believe it, the company thrives and I believe people on the outside pickup on that vibe, they want to be a part of that energy you exude. Its magnetic!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Harmonic Media does its own thing. We have never been afraid to push beyond the norm or get a little scared, you know? We are most proud of our customer service. Not everyone knows exactly what they want or need when they are trying to conceptualize their particular project. We take great pride in helping an idea get across the finish line and exceeding expectations from inception to completion. Being able to sit with someone and take an idea from paper to real life is very incredible as an artist. Was it easy? Nope. But it’s the right way to do things and the right way is rarely the simplest. Over the years, I have come to realize that honesty is truly the best policy when it comes to any relationship and putting that transparent layer over yourself and your company yields amazing results.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I’d be silly not to start in the mountains. Summer is my favorite and specifically Buena Vista, that’s a special place. We would check out Red Rocks on the way back. From there I believe being spontaneous is key to any adventure.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Eye Candy Graphics has been instrumental in my career and my life. Without Eye Candy, there would be no Harmonic Media. Augie hired me back in 2004. It started with a $100 sign on bonus! I can’t begin to explain what a gift this was for a 20-year-old dude who was new to Colorado. Augie, Jeff and the entire crew spent countless, unpaid hours teaching me everything from design programs, color matching, printer operations and maintenance. What I learned most was the value of experimentation. This workplace truly allowed me to get my bearings and spread my wings. I know for a fact that without the mentorship and confidence I built at Eye Candy, I would have never felt good enough to start something of my own.
