Meet Veronica Daugherty

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Daugherty and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veronica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My decision to start my own business came from a desire to create something more intentional. I had years of experience in esthetics and medical spa environments, but I knew I wanted to build a space where results and human connection could truly coexist. I didn’t just want to perform treatments. I wanted to create an experience where people feel seen, cared for, and restored.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Soluna Vee Spa was built from both professional expertise and personal transformation. I built it with the intention of creating an experience that delivers real, visible results while never losing the human connection that I believe every person deserves.
I have over 15 years of experience in esthetics and medical spa environments, but I didn’t want to create just another facial studio. I wanted to create a space where luxury meets results, where corrective skincare and restorative experiences coexist.
At Soluna Vee Spa in Colorado Springs, I specialize in advanced facials, peels, microneedling, and skin-corrective treatments, while still honoring the power of human touch. My philosophy is simple: treatments should deliver visible improvement, while the experience feels deeply grounding, personalized, and intentional.
Opening my own spa has stretched me more than anything else in my career. Entrepreneurship requires resilience, discipline, humility, and faith, especially in the early stages. There have been moments of doubt, financial pressure, and long days. But there’s also something incredibly empowering about building something aligned with your values.
What makes Soluna Vee Spa different is that it’s not just about luxury aesthetics. It’s about dignity, empowerment, bilingual care, and showing up for the Colorado Springs community. I want my clients to leave not only glowing, but restored.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Colorado Springs for a week, I’d start with a sunrise at Garden of the Gods. There’s something grounding about those red rock formations that reminds you how beautiful this place is.
We’d grab coffee at Switchback Coffee Roasters, then explore downtown boutiques. I love showing people the small businesses here. There’s so much heart behind them.
We’d hike one of the nearby trails for those mountain views, then unwind with dinner at one of the locally owned restaurants that give this city its character.
I also love introducing people to wellness spaces around town. Colorado Springs has an incredible entrepreneurial spirit, from fitness studios to creative collectives and I genuinely believe supporting local is one of the best ways to experience the city.
It’s the balance of nature, small business energy, and genuine human connection that makes Colorado Springs feel both inspiring and deeply grounding.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I’m being honest, my entire career began because of one small, unexpected act of kindness.
Years ago, during a very difficult season of my life, a woman I barely knew offered to give me a facial. She didn’t have to. She wasn’t trying to gain anything. She simply sensed I needed care. That hour changed something in me. It wasn’t just about skincare, it was about being seen, being safe, and being touched with intention.
I don’t think she realized how much that simple gesture would shape my future. I don’t think she knew how deeply I needed that moment. But it planted a seed.
That experience became the foundation of Soluna Vee Spa. Skill can treat the skin, but intentional touch has the power to restore the person.
I also want to shout out the women in my life who continue to encourage me, mentors, friends, fellow entrepreneurs, and my clients. Community is not a buzzword for me. It’s how I built this business. Every client who trusts me with their face, their stories, and their vulnerability is part of this journey.
