We had the good fortune of connecting with Virginia Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Virginia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had an Entrepreneur spirit. So I always knew I would be owning my business. I like to have a balance in home life and working life. So with knowing this about myself I knew I would have the advantage of being able to do so if I were disciplined enough to make it happen on my own.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I always knew I would be in the beauty industry. When I was 18 I was the friend I was always styling hair for everyone and just making sure we were all up-to-date and fashionable. It makes me happy to see others at their best in feeling great. After getting my license as a nail tech I worked at an Aveda salon. They get most credit for my performance skills. I learned so much about being able to connect and how to read people to provide their best experience with me. At first it wasn’t easy for me because I had a hard time breaking out of my shell with the world. I would be timid and shy to introduce myself. But after I learned that I could satisfy nine out of 10 clients I grew comfortable with it all, from introducing myself to knowing The quality of my worth. I want people to know that my brand is south made bill from the ground up and we are continuously growing to better provide quality services.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would recommend trying Los Delicias for authentic Mexican food. And Asian Cajun for sea food cravings. I really enjoy hiking in the mountains, we have concerts at our city park in the summertime so Jazz in the park would be on the list after visiting the Museum of nature and science. And they’re up for thrills I’d recommend the amusement park 6Flags.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My great grandparents aren’t from Colorado. Matter of fact they came to America before there was a line dividing Mexico and the state of Texas. At that time you didn’t need a green card either. They choose to stay here when the Decision was made to create a boarder. They wanted a better quality life for their descendants. So I must say all homage is for their honoring.
