We had the good fortune of connecting with Wade Zobel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wade, what is the most important factor behind your success?

Zobel Legal Group’s mission is simple, we want to provide equal access to justice, with respect throughout the process, that results in fair compensation for injured parties; regardless of what language they speak, how they are perceived, or background they have.

At its core, An attorney’s job is to help clients make educated decisions regarding the problems they face. Many of these decisions can be personal and difficult in nature. For the attorney/client relationship to function, an attorney must earn the trust of those in need before they can ever hope to help them find solutions. We believe the only way to achieve this is by first actively listening and trying to understand our client’s unique situation. Then compassionately explaining both the positives and negatives of their case so together we can form an educated plan to resolve their particular issues. Only through this hands-on approach can we fully understand our client’s situation and provide accurate information for them to base their important decisions upon. It is my goal in every case to build this solid foundation so that my clients and I can find these solutions together. We thank our clients for their trust, and understand the responsibility it carries with it.

I have been interested in helping others through the uses of the law since a young age. My parents were lawyers and I listened to them argue about law and politics most of my youth. I grew up in Anchorage Alaska. At the age of 18, I moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend the University of Colorado. In 2004, I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology. After completing college, I worked as an English teacher in San Luis Potosi, Mexico for two years. I quickly learned the importance of culture, diversity, and language skills. This led me to focus on learning Spanish language and Mexican/Latin American cultures. I am now fluent in Spanish language and I still maintain close ties to Mexico through my wife of nearly 20 years, Coral Zobel, who is a Mexican National. After living in Mexico I returned to Colorado and began working in the personal injury field as an accident investigator. I still use my investigative skills every day in my current legal practice. I am known for presenting evidence other offices miss or never knew were obtainable. After a number of years working in the investigative field; I was driven to present the cases as well as help build them. I also wanted the corner office not the corner desk. This drove me to pursue a formal education in law. In 2010, I began attending Gonzaga School of Law where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I decided to try my hand at criminal law for a short time, and worked at Spokane County Public Defender’s Office. After nearly two years of working a criminal docket I decide to go back to civil injury practice. In 2013, I returned to Colorado where I have been actively practicing injury law since. I opened my own firm, Zobel Legal Group, in March of 2020. I still draw on my skills in language and investigation everyday as I successfully provide legal services to injured Coloradans.

I am licensed to practice law in Colorado District Court and The Federal Courts. I am an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. I value every client that trusts me to work on their cases, and I always put in the work required to reach a just results

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Zobel Legal Group has grown so much over the last three (plus) years. It’s was hard to imagine this when I opened the firm one month before the world shut down due to COVID. 2020, as for many people, was an uncertain time for my family. I strived to be different and provide a hands on approach, though this was hard when no one wanted to meet face-to-face. I quickly adapted my approach and began thinking what clients really needed from a lawyer, this was honesty and access to their counsel. I began holding virtual meetings and met with people outside of my office. I take pride in that I have personally met with, explained my contract and the legal process, to every single one of my clients. They know who they are hiring from the beginning.  This provides my clients a chance to evaluate me and to be sure I am the correct fit for them as well.  I am there from the first meeting to the last. My clients know me personally by the end of the process and I know them. This level of access and transparency provides for a more fruitful legal relationship for both the client and attorney. I believe this is what has set me apart.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Red Rocks is the coolest venue in the entire country, this is on the list. I am also a huge fan of the Denver Broncos. However. concerts and football take place in different times of the year. I guess we will have to plan two trips. I also love how close we are to the mountains and wild life. I would drive over the pass in Rock Mountain National Park from Grand Lake to Estes Park, what a lovely and scary drive that is. If winter, go to Vail and hopefully see some snow. Regardless of time of year, definitely get a taco or two at “La Diabla” Mexican restaurant down by the Coors field. Doubt we will make it to the baseball game, but maybe I usually see at least two or three baseball games a year. But that means it’s summer and Red Rocks probably would win between the two.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this recognition to my wife, Coral. Without her I would never be where I am today. She has taught me so much, pushed me to be better, and stood by me through the good, the bad, and the uncertain. I am thankful to have such a strong woman backing me all these years. I promise babe someday it will all have been worth it.
