We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Stitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Being a wedding planner in the Colorado mountains makes me incredibly happy because every wedding feels like a once in a lifetime experience, not just for the couple, but for everyone involved. The scenery here is naturally breathtaking (I am originally from Texas/Arkansas). When couples exchange vows surrounded by towering peaks, aspens, and fresh mountain air, it creates a kind of magic that you simply can’t replicate anywhere else.

What I love most is helping couples turn that natural beauty into a meaningful celebration. Many of my clients travel from all over the country or even internationally to get married in Colorado, so I get to help them create an entire experience for their friends and family, not just a single event. It becomes a weekend filled with adventure, connection, and unforgettable memories.

The mountains also bring a sense of authenticity to weddings. People tend to slow down here. They’re more present, more emotional, and more connected to nature and to each other. Being able to guide couples through that experience and watch their vision come to life in such an incredible setting is what makes this career so fulfilling for me.

At the end of the day, I’m not just planning weddings, I’m helping create moments that couples will remember every time they look back at the mountains.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Getting to where I am today definitely wasn’t easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I built this business through a lot of hard work, learning as I went, and staying committed even when things were challenging. My journey to building this business really started during my time at Texas A&M University. While earning my degree, I worked several jobs at the same time to support myself and gain experience. That time in my life taught me discipline, resilience, and how to manage a lot of moving parts skills that honestly translate perfectly into wedding planning. The wedding industry is fast paced and constantly evolving, so I had to learn to adapt, problem-solve, and always put my clients first.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that relationships are everything. The connections you build with couples, vendors, and venues are what truly make this industry special and what allow weddings to come together seamlessly.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on passion, care, and creating meaningful experiences. I truly love what I do, and my goal is always to make sure couples can fully enjoy their wedding day, especially in a place as beautiful and special as the Colorado mountains.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d start the trip by picking them up at Denver International Airport and heading straight to Golden for lunch at The Golden Mill. It’s such a fun spot right by the river with great food and an amazing Colorado atmosphere.

After lunch, we’d head over to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. If we could catch a concert there, that would be the perfect Colorado experience because it’s one of the most iconic music venues in the world.

Then we’d head up to my house in Bailey to relax in the mountains. One of my favorite local spots there is Aspen Peak Cellars. It’s a beautiful winery with incredible views and the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine.

If we had a long weekend, I’d definitely take us up to Granby for a camping weekend. That area is amazing for lake days, relaxing outside, and soaking in the mountain scenery. From there we’d explore Rocky Mountain National Park and spend our days doing long hikes and enjoying some of the most beautiful landscapes Colorado has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, a huge shout out to the incredible vendor community here in Colorado from Venues like Deer Creek Mountain Camp, Evergreen Lakehouse, and The Woodlands for believing in me and trusting me with their couples. Then of course you have photographers and florists to caterers and rental teams. Mountain weddings take a lot of coordination, and the talent here is unbelievable.
