We had the good fortune of connecting with Wynter Pacha and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wynter, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had worked in the insurance field for almost 20 years and had worked with local GEICO agents for the last few years so it just felt like the next natural step. I also wanted to make sure I was making an informed decision and not just jumping into something I would regret. My personal and professional life really lined up making the timing and location irresistible. I really liked Colorado personally for my family and professionally as a growing market. The application process had a ton of research and business planning involved which really made me feel like I was set up for success and had a great product and team there for support. When I was selected for the Colorado market I invested in myself and the rest is history.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started my career in insurance as a high school intern in Virginia beach, when I turned 18 I got licensed and moved into sales. I was licensed for all 50 states for motorcycle, RV, and auto. I achieved top sales numbers there and moved into supervision. I was a top rated supervisor and trainer in multiple regions and moved into a leadership role as a talent manager in Dallas TX and then moved to DC where I was a regional manager helping out local offices along the east coast. After that I decided to take the leap and open my own local insurance agency. Insurance is all about determining risk and assigning a rate to it. What I learned in my career is that without risk there is no reward. If I had not moved and tried new things met new people and ultimately decided to go into business for myself, I would not be where I am today.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado is so beautiful you cannot go wrong but there are a few spots in Colorado I take my friends and family when they are in town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout would have to go to my husband Joe. He has been with me throughout a good portion of my career and has been very encouraging of reaching for more. He has moved with me when I got promotions or wanted to try something new. He helped me pick the location of the office helped with the financial documents and even helped me build my dream sales team. He has attended marketing events and even been the GECKO for me in a few.
