We had the good fortune of connecting with Zack Whitmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zack, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We were tired of seeing people signing up for commercial gyms, do well for 2 months, then completely fall off because they weren’t seeing any results. So we wanted to build a training facility with elite level coaches that held members accountable to showing up and doing the work. We knew it couldn’t just be training, so we brought them high level nutrition coaching as well.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When we opened we knew where we wanted to eventually get to, but didn’t know how long it would take. We wanted to have the most serious training equipment CO had to offer. We wanted to bring true strength and conditioning to the masses. We wanted to be the gym that every high level strength athlete in NoCo wanted to be. It took 3 1/2 year but we finally got there. What it came down to was bringing on the smartest coaches in NoCo who had a true love for people. We literally have the dream team of strength and conditioning coaches.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to a concert at Red Rocks, that’s a special experience. I would take them to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s so incredible to see in person. We would eat at a few of my favorite restaurants. Silver Grille in Fort a Collins for breakfast. Penrose Tap House in Fort Collins for Lunch. Union Restaurant in Fort Collins for dinner!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My beautiful fiancé who supports every crazy idea I have. She’s always ready to help and motivate me. My incredible business partner Samson Jagoras who I own Pursuit with. Non of this happens without that guy. He has taught me so much about business and just how to run things the right way. My dear friend Rachel Pastor for planting the seed that I should own a facility.
