We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoe Moraitis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zoe, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
The single most important decision I feel that I have made thus far that has contributed to my success is deciding to go against the normal expectation of young adults after graduating high school, going straight to college for at least 4 years. In my experience, for most of my school years I can remember the pressure of being told I had to go to college after high school. There weren’t other options given to us students, we were always being prepped for college by teachers, counselors, and many adults in our lives. Without knowing of any other options at the time, I did go to college for one year. I felt that was what I HAD to do even though I knew I was not meant to go this traditionally expected route. During that one year in college I began to reach out to others who were doing what I wanted to do with my career and I was asking how they got there, what education did they have to seek out and to my surprise I was told I did not have to continue on this college route. I was told that there were other options that would lead me to exactly what I wanted to do. I then made the single most important decision and that was applying to the Touched By a Horse Equine Gestalt Coaching Method program and leaving college when the school year ended. I completed my one year of college in May of 2019 and I began the journey I was truly meant to be on starting as a student of Touched By a Horse in July of 2019.

What should our readers know about your business?
Mindful Harmony Coaching is my business where I offer services in the form of Equine Gestalt; a non diagnostic form of mental health that is done through experiences which allow the body, mind, and soul to heal. I am so passionate about what I do because I know that it works having been a client myself. Being one of the youngest to have gone through and graduated from Touched By a Horse I am filled with honor, excitement, and joy to be able to have this phenomenal education and training as well as having the ability to go forward in life as the best version of myself and be able to support others in their journeys of healing and finding and becoming the best versions of themselves; this all while experiencing the true and natural healing and magic of horses. Horses have an innate ability and want to heal and being able to share that with anyone who wants to experience it is truly and honor.
I have mentioned this program a few times and truly the Touched By a Horse program is how I am where I am today, through Melisa Pearce and her programs I have been able to do my own personal healing, gain experience and education in facilitating gestalt healing and also receiving training and guidance in starting my own business. All of that and a constant dedication to my own healing and the healing of others.
My passion drives me immensely, my passion of working with horses and sharing their innate healing gifts and the true healing of gestalt with others has allowed me to push through no matter what life has thrown at me. Seeking my own healing and starting a business on my own has not been easy by any means, I am not sure starting a business is easy for anyone let alone a young 20 something who has never started a business before. Despite the challenges that come my way though, my passion is always stronger, my belief in the horses and in the work I do drives me to never stop and to always trust the process. As a mentor once told me “people deserve to experience you and the healing of your horses” and so I push through and push on no matter what. I reach out for help and guidance when I need and I continue to learn and grow with each step and each challenge. That is one of the biggest lessons I have learned, it is okay to ask for help, to seek to continue to learn, to seek mentorship and asking questions are all positive things rather than negative.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite places to visit is Estes Park. If I had a friend visiting the state and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would take them to Estes, some of my favorite horse competitions to compete in and watch are in Estes Park and you can enjoy great food from any of the local restaurants, spend time visiting the shops, paddle board on the lake and my favorite which is enjoying the beautiful views and fresh air. from nearly anywhere in Estes Park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Touched By a Horse and it’s owner and founder Melisa Pearce, who took a chance on a young adult ready to make the best decision of her life. Through the intense and immersive 24 month Equine Gestalt Coaching Method program I was able to learn everything I needed to know to be able to create Gestalt experiences for clients and build my business. And one the best and most unique parts and in my opinion one of the most important of this program is that each student is given opportunities to do their own healing and self-discovery work so we can truly give our best and support our clients without the risk of confluence, or being triggered by our clients stories.
