The Coronavirus has given many us an opportunity to pause and think about life, our purpose, and even the right work life balance. What’s your perspective and has it changed over time?

When I started my career as a photographer, it was during the chaos of COVID. At that time I was primarily staying home with my baby boy in a tiny house in the mountains. We had lots of time to watch the deer, bake, and just wait for my husband to come home. I have always loved staying busy and was even fonder of taking pictures. Having that balance is so important. One of the things I’m most proud of is that I’m finally at a point in my life where I’m able to make that a priority. Switching to working by appointment only was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself as a tattooer. I felt drained creatively when I was expected to sit at a shop 24/7. I felt my personal time and creativity were both stretched thin. I spent a lot of time pushing myself way too hard and feeling like I always had to say yes.
