Lily Kapiloff | Director of Development at the Boulder Housing Coalition

The Boulder Housing Coalition addresses many intersectional issues that our society faces. #1 Affordable Housing. Boulder, Colorado is one of the most expensive cities in the United States. Our model goes beyond the cities definition of ‘affordable,’ which is still out of reach for many people. As a nonprofit, we remove the possibility of profiting off of these properties. We believe that housing is a human right and should not be a for-profit game. As a nonprofit, we are managed by a board of directors. Residents from our houses sit on that board. That means that the residents have ultimate control over the organization, making all big picture decisions by consensus, including the budget. The residents themselves crunch numbers every year to determine how low we can keep rent and how much to alot for other expenses like maintenance, tranings, and mediators. Our model is not only permanently affordable, but increasingly affordable. Due to the amount of resident control, our rates go up at a far slower rate than the market, meaning that every year our rents become farther below the city average. Read more>>

Justin Trammell | Personal Training Specialist

As a personal trainer, I specialize in corrective exercise and performance enhancement. Although I help people to lose weight, build muscle and improve their body composition, my greatest skill set is that I heal people through movement. I’m the person to see when physical therapy and orthopedic surgery has failed to serve someone’s long term goals of pain free movement and a higher quality of life. Sometimes, surgery is necessary and there are a lot of great physical therapists out there who have a comprehensive approach. However, this is the exception, not the rule. Even if it makes sense for someone to get a knee replacement, it will not re-wire the poor neuromuscular control that chewed up their knee to begin with. It is also common for patients to experience some benefits from physical therapy due to isolated strengthening and mobilization techniques used, but then find themselves in chronic pain or re-injured in the future due to a lack of integrating any new found strength and mobility into their everyday primal movement patterns. This is exactly where I come in. I use my expertise and decade plus experience to not only help people regain their confidence by improving the way they look, feel, and function, I empower them by showing them exactly where they are and giving them a precise roadmap to get to where they want to go using the Sharp Savage Curriculum.
