I am continually inspired by our ridership and participants. We serve children and adults with disabilities, often in situations where they face a multitude of medical challenges, including mobility issues, vision impairments, hearing difficulties, and severe progressive diagnoses. The individuals at the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center show up each week, working diligently on their personal goals to support their journeys. Sometimes, the goal is simply maintenance, allowing them to continue living life to the fullest despite the challenges they face. Read More>>

I chose to run to be El Paso County’s next Commissioner because from a young age I could see the pain and trauma caused by the extreme levels of poverty that have plagued our communities across the nation for too long. As a child abuse survivor, I learned that the only way to put an end to the injustice and pain that is inflicted upon us all is to stand up together, not for ourselves but for each other. I’m inspired by the power of community. The resilience of working-class people, especially young folks (like myself), who continue to show up, speak out, and fight back, even when the odds are stacked against us. I’m constantly fueled by the people around me, organizers and activists, who dream bigger than the systems built to contain us. I find inspiration in our collective resistance, in the healing that happens through solidarity, and in the unshakable belief that we deserve better, and we’re going to build it. Read More>>
