What habits do you feel helped you succeed?

We don’t believe success is random. Over the years we have spoken with hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, researchers, athletes, and more. We’ve learned from them – both through their stories and through the advice they’ve shared with us – and it’s quite evident that success is more likely when certain habits are present. So, we decided to ask folks to share their habits with us, especially those that they feel helped them succeed.

Growing up, I always carried a sketch pad and was constantly recording the world around me, eager to improve my drawing skills every chance I could. I was also a competitive swimmer and classically trained pianist and these disciplines taught me endurance, concentration, focus and goal setting, like beating my best swim record, memorizing a longer Piano sonata, or learning a new art medium. The habits that I learned when I was young helped me to develop the lifelong valuable tools that serve me as a visual artist to this day. FLEXIBILITY has always been at the center of who I am. Having lived and worked on multiple continents, the ability to adapt to new ways of doing things and different perspectives allowed me to better understand and navigate every life or professional situation I encountered with empathy and a deep sense of connection. I call it the “outsider perspective”, where one looks at any problem with a fresh set of eyes as if it is the first encounter. I approach every project I work on, whether a building, a public space, a brand, or a business development strategy, with a CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING mindset.
