Where do you see yourself at the end of your career?

It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day, but it’s important to stop and ask: what’s the end goal? Knowing where you are trying to go is step one in getting there and so we’ve asked some folks we admire to tell us their end goal and where they want to be by the end of their careers.
My end goal is to have achieved a cultural perspective shift on the human-animal bond and the impact of animal companion grief on guardians. My goal is to have Preston and James established with several Collective brick and mortar locations and to be successful enough to be able to impact the community around me in a positive way with resources, community involvement, giving back and maintaining my brand aesthetics of handmade and sustainable production. This is a lovely question, it’s got a few layers but overall I believe it’s pretty simple. When all is said and done I’d love to say that I left everything on the table, left no story untold. I’d hope that we had a career full of discovering new places on tour, inspiring and uplifting others along the way and ending up in a situation where my friends, bandmates and I can still be close and reminisce about the “good ‘ol days”.
