Hi Makaela, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Because my work is still relatively new and under-funded for research purposes, it is important that clients trust our training, our expertise, and our experience with Kambo, herbs, as well as other healing modalities that we offer. Heart Alchemy Integrative Wellness (HAIW) is a space for people to come to feel seen, heard, and healed through heart medicine that can take the form of Kambo, yoga, meditation, breathwork, talk therapy, psychedelic integration, trip sitting, holistic nutrition, plant medicine utilization consultations, and herbalism gifted by our certified herbalist Johnnie.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My work is unique in that your experience is going to be vastly different than anyone else and so we really take into account your lived experiences and who you are and why you are here for healing. We do an intensive intake to ensure clients are prepared to do this kind of work, and are safe doing so. You can rest assured that from a Woman & Queer owned local business such as HAIW, you are receiving the best care for your specific spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.

Pricing

-> Kambo ceremonies (1 on 1) = $175/per session (sliding scale available for BIPOC, LGBTQ and other minorities), other services depend on individual inquiry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I typically take them to Red Rocks, of course, specifically during a concert! I will also always take them West into the mountains on hikes, to cabins, to ski, and to explore the gifts of Colorado. Breweries and wineries are always a good idea, too!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Johnnie Heider-Kuhn for being my spiritual business partner and plant medicine advocate. Also Austin Miller for being my love, my hunter and gatherer, and a sacred bow hunter who adores the outdoors and respects nature more than most people I know.
