Meet Nadia Palma | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Palma and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nadia, how does your business help the community?
As a photographer, I learned how to observe and see the world with different perspectives. I am not only capturing the essence of the moment, but also creating experiences and telling a story.
Most people when they approach me to have their photograph taken, they are not models; they do not feel comfortable in front of the camera; but they want to portrait a special time of their lives. And that is so important to them, that they will go out of their comfort zone to do so.
Having a great time and beautiful photos can change someone perspective, of how they look and how they feel. Nothing makes me more happy then seeing people feel so good about themselves.
I also for with a lot of homeowners and business owners to help them improve their business and grow their local communities.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Nadia, an audacious photographer whose past several years have been dedicated to seeing beauty in every aspect of life. Nature is a great part of me, and I wanted to share this passion with you all.
I was born in Brazil, where my deep connection with the outdoors began, and also where I got my Bachelors’s degree in Photography in 2014. Since then, I’ve explored over 10 different countries until I set my roots at 10,000 feet above sea, high up on the mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado.
My goal is to create unique experiences in the great outdoors. I document people in nature doing what they love; and together we tell a deeper story about the places we get to experience.
Growing up in brazil was a wonderful experience: the culture, the people and nature made me who I am today. But I had a desire to explore as much as I could. So for many years, I traveled around the world, seeking moments and places to see. Having this adventures and contacts with many different people and places really opened my eyes to what the world could be.
There were a couple of moments where I questioned myself about the paths I was going, but that’s when I realized that is what life is about: not the end of the road, but the road itself.
I’ve learn to thrust myself and that we need to be constantly changing. The world does not stay the same, and our success depends on the way we adapt.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Breckenridge is one of the most inspiring and magical places I’ve ever seeing.
If you love hiking, there are so many beautiful spots to explore. You can hike up Quandary Peak and enjoy beautiful sunrises at the top of the mountain; relax by the lake at one of the many path at the frisco peninsula; enjoy the yellow aspen tress on Aspen Alley; and check out beautiful views of Breckenridge ski resort from Boreas Pass.
For the kiddos, you can go check the Troll of Breckenridge, Issac from a short hike thru the tress, and get some Ice cream at Stir-Pan Creamery at the end of town.
Check out the bar scene at RMU and finish the night at Cecilias.
For restaurants and happy hours check at Aurum, Sanchos and la francaise. And don’t forget to take home the best soup you ever gonna have at soups on by City Market.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For my parents Joao Carlos de Palma and Lilian brunni who provided me with guidance and inspiration to be the person I am today. Thank you for always believing in me.
