We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaylee Flowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaylee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
You know what they say, “If you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life.” I have always had a passion for capturing candid, special moments in peoples lives. So, I decided to make a living doing what I love!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Traveling the country with my family to support my brother on the rodeo circuit instilled in me a love of capturing special moments and memories for our family. Being able to look back and reminisce is near and dear to my heart. I love being able to capture memories for my clients so they can enjoy them for years to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If someone was visiting my area, the place I would introduce them to is Fredericksburg, Texas. The must do things in Fredericksburg would be coffee and pastries at Coffee Haus. Shopping on Main Street. Dinner and margaritas at Hondo’s. (They are famous for their pineapple margarita, they are fabulous.) Listening to live music at one of the numerous outdoor venues.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have helped me become who I am today. Of course my loved ones who inspire me to keep going everyday, a special thanks to Krista Francis from Krista Francis Photos who helped me begin my journey as a photographer.
