We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalee Newsom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalee, what role has risk played in your life or career?                              Live fearlessly. Be courageous. Take chances. You will never know if you don’t try! I’m a risk taker, always have been. Big or small. I lean toward the big risks maybe more so than others do, but if you don’t try, how are you to know if your idea could ever work? I have moved across the country, away from my comfort zone, to take a risk, not knowing if it would work. I started businesses, not knowing if it would work. Hard work and dedication are the only reasons I am here and still striving forward today. If you treat failure like its not an option, it wont be!

Natalee grew up in a small town in Florida for 25 years before setting off on a new adventure to Northern Colorado. Once self employed, owning three antique estate resale stores in Florida before deciding that the humidity was too much to handle and trying out Colorado. She studied while in Florida at UCF then finished her Bachelors degree at CSU. Passionate about horses, music, snow skiing, traveling, the outdoors, her Dalmatian pups Ava and Frank Sinatra, staying active, and keeping up with her new husband, Nicholas; Colorado has been the perfect fit for an active lifestyle. Now a Top Producer at her brokerage, selling over 20+ million in volume per year, she specializes in Residential, Farm and Ranch, Commercial, and water share sales.

What should our readers know about your business?
I love the business I have created! I have taken the time to turn my systems into a working caliber of my business that separates me from others in the same business. I have created diversity and value by allowing my clients to know that I have a communication guarantee. I have material that I have created that is clear and concise and easy for my clients to translate and understand. I have a delivery system for needs of my clients too! It was NOT easy to get where I am today. There is always self doubt, stress, and double edge sword when be self employed. Forward thinking, being courageous and taking chances is the only way to overcome challenges.

I’ve learned to be more patient with people. I’ve learned that not everything works out the way you think it will. I’ve learned to be more harmonious with the ever changing schedule, and how flexibility plays a key role in my day to day.

I am reliable, communicative, scheduled, detail orientated, and a problem solver above all else!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Red Rocks Amphitheater is a must see for Colorado! It is the largest most unique outdoor concert venue. Meowwolf Denver, is a unique experience too in itself. Estes Park, The Stanley, with a guided spooky ghost tour would be a trip! They have over 900+ whiskeys in this hotel! Fort Collins and its breweries are always fun. Horse Tooth Reservoir for a boat trip on a beautiful too would be fabulous too!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has taught me to take the time, be devoted, and learn. If we wanted something, we worked for it! My company, Realty One Group, has guided me ever step of the way to become a better mentor and agent for my clients and myself! My mentor, Liz Montoya, has been a huge part of my success, without here, I would not be where I am in real estate today!
