We had the good fortune of connecting with Lu$t and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lu$t, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My Thought Process Involved Creating A Brand Through Entertainment That Would Separate It’s Self From Other Artists. I Wanted To Give People Industry Quality Music , Videos And Content In Creative Ways Even Using QR codes On Clothing To Promote And Drop New Content. I wanted to independently take over the market in the city by making my clothing brand as unique as possible…….we all know the saying “Love Is Pain” In conjunction With My Life Experiences And My Stage Name I Named The Brand “Lu$t Is Pain” Creating Dope Designs That Were Put Together By My Graphic Designer “Aplo.Supply.co” he also shot some of my Dopest visuals “Cosa Nostra” & The Unreleased “Executive” I knew The Only Way To Get Started Was To Not Think Too Much Or Make Excuses But To Just Put Everything I Wanted To Do Into Action & Learn From What Worked And What Didn’t. I Don’t Waste Time When My Mind Is Set On Something.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Lu$t is a hip-hop artist, songwriter, and music producer from Atlantic City. His intricate and metaphoric punchlines, paired with his knack for producing industry quality beats, has made the South Jersey recording artist a triple threat as a vocalist, producer, and engineer. Inspired by his past experiences and relationships, Lu$t uses heartbreak as the muse for his music. With a combination of sophisticated beats and top-tier lyrics he developed while in the local rap battle scene, Lu$t’s biggest influences are Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle, Fabolous, and Big Pun. Inspired by the techniques of Lil Wayne, he freestyles his lyrics right after finishing the beat. Lu$t (real name Christian Aponte) started producing music at an early age drawing influence from Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Southside, and Zaytoven. Growing up, the New Jersey-born artist was heavily drawn to hip-hop, R&B, and soul music and developed that passion into his life and career.
