We had the good fortune of connecting with Anne More, CSB and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anne, how does your business help the community?
Over the last ten years, I’ve helped hundreds of couples and individuals recover from shame, trauma stories, and physical and emotional scars. My clients range in age from 26 to 75+. One couple, aged 68 and 75, came to me on the verge of divorce after being celibate for 30 of their 40 years together. Six months later, they have a joyful sex life, they laugh about how they can’t keep their hands off each other, and tell me our work saving their marriage.

Another client had nightmares and chronic anxiety from early unresolved childhood sexual abuse. We worked together to reconnect her with her body, transmute and integrate the somatic memories of past trauma into her present adult life, and teach her nervous system that she has agency and a right to rest, pleasure, love, and belonging. Today, she is thriving, she’s found a loving, supportive local community, and she’s started her own business, hired a financial advisor, and moved into her own place.

Clients have gone on to leave careers that didn’t align with their values, repair relationships with their children, end relationships that weren’t serving them, and find new partners who can meet and love them for all of who they are. Sexual wellness is central to overall mental, physical, and emotional health. My clients’ results show that when we are free to fully express, that benefits every part of our lives. 60% of my clients come from referrals from past clients.

When you come to me, whether for scar remediation, past trauma, relationship struggles, or erotic expansion, we always work at your pace. You learn gradually learn to slow down and be present to the pleasure of being alive in a body, in this moment. The work is guided by your curiosity and ongoing consent. We center pleasure as your pathway to releasing pain and trauma, embodying power, spiritual development, and finding and building lasting love.

The ripple effects are clear: happy, connected, loving parents who model what it’s like to enjoy each other’s company. Marriages saved and revitalized, with the skills to communicate freely and openly and create lasting, joyful adventures in the bedroom and beyond. Individuals finding freedom for shameless creativity, full expression, and grounded presence in their own lives.
My “business” is my life purpose: to help as many people as possible shed patterns of scarcity, body shame, and self-doubt, and instead explore and create relationships and communities from a place of choice, embodied self-trust, and abundance.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My life looked good on the outside: a 54-year-old suburban mom living in Santa Fe… but I was deeply lonely and depressed. I was in a nearly sexless marriage and had been for years. I knew there had to be more, but I didn’t know how to find it. I tried to learn what I could about sex and relationships from books and podcasts, even tried talk therapy. Nothing helped. Finally, in October 2016, I stumbled on Jaiya and the Erotic Blueprints. I took the quiz: it rocked my world. I learned I wasn’t weird or broken. I just wanted things that weren’t in the narrow script we’re “supposed” to want. It was such a relief to know I’m okay just as I am, and that there are lots of others just like me.
It felt like diving off a cliff, but I needed to follow this work. I took the leap into becoming an Erotic Blueprint Coach, then a Certified Sexological Bodyworker, then an Accelerated Evolution Relationship Coach. I felt like a late bloomer. I threw myself full-time into work and study as Jaiya’s apprentice bodyworker at her private events and retreats, while studying in person with every somatic and sexuality expert I could find, building my coaching and somatic practice as I went.

It was scary, and hard. I left my unhappy marriage. I was in my mid-50’s but had to start over financially and learned how to build and manage a business as a solopreneur… in a field that constantly faces the threat of censorship and being shut down. I invested everything I had in the equivalent of a graduate-level education in somatic sexology, relationship coaching, and trauma healing. I was shy, but I needed clients to find me, so I learned to go online live. I made tons of mistakes. The very first live reel I posted, the camera was sideways. I just came back on, laughed, and talked about imperfection and how vulnerability is key to intimacy. Over time, I normalized talking about taboo subjects: sex, bodies, genitals, kink, safer sex, childhood trauma, and relationship challenges. I shared from my own lived experience and what I was learning along the way from my teachers and clients.

What’s different about how I work, is the wide range of knowledge and resources I draw from, but especially how much I speak and teach from my lived experience. I know the journey of recovering from early childhood sexual and secrecy trauma into joyful, open aliveness. I want that for you too. My ongoing self-with-self work is vital. I can’t bring clients anywhere I haven’t gone myself.

I believe in the inherent intelligence and ability of the body to heal and renew. To connect my clients with their own body’s knowing, I use what I’ve learned through my own healing journey, education, and clinical practice: trauma resolution, scar tissue remediation, anatomy, physiology, Tantra, conscious movement, deeply attuned bodywork, ritual, ceremony, ancestor reverence, and nature and pleasure as medicine. The methods are proven, the results are solid: two-thirds of my practice is return clients and referrals from former clients.

The certifications and titles aren’t about ego. They show the path of my own growth and recovery, but also dedication to service and excellence: Somatic Sexologist; Certified Sexological Bodyworker; Somatic Trauma and Scar Practitioner; Certified Pelvic Care Specialist; Devotional Kink Guide; Ceremonialist; Accelerated Evolution Guide; Relationship Renewal Coach; Erotic Blueprint™ Lead Trainer… and more. I’m grateful to the mentors and guides who have shaped the services I can offer now.

This work is my soul’s purpose. I have given it my all, and continue to do so, because being in service this way is why I’m on the planet. Everything I’ve done in my life until now, even the things that seemed like detours or “failures,” prepared me to hold space and support clients in their own deepest traumas and most vulnerable work. Especially the detours and failures, because in vulnerability is where we learn the most.

I offer a safe, attuned, and supportive environment to explore all of these realms. Together we practice effective, gentle trauma resolution (childhood trauma, sexual and medical/surgical trauma), hands-on scar remediation, and realigning the physical, emotional, and energetic body for optimal health and wellness. The work moves where you need it to: between science and soul-work, hands-on bodywork and somatic sex education, and deep existential inquiry to shift limiting beliefs and rewrite old behavioral and relational patterns.

Telling the truth to the world about my work, and to myself, is the commitment that guides everything I do. I’ve learned to care for my own body consistently and lovingly, so I can bring my full presence, skills, experience, wisdom, and capacity into every session and workshop. I am not here to fix anyone, because none of us are broken.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them into the mountains to wander and wonder, with a picnic in our backpacks and lots of time to explore: Brainard Lake, Chautaqua, Wild Basin, Winter Park, Rocky Mountain National Park. Locally, I love the Chautaqua Dining Hall! It’s so fun to hike and then wander down to sit on the porch for drinks and great food in the summertime, or by the fire in the hall in the wintertime. If it’s a hot summer day, we’d definitely do some tubing along Boulder Creek or Clear Creek in Golden. There are also tons of embodiment, conscious movement, and sex-positive events in Boulder and Denver: Dance Meets Tantra, ecstatic dance at the Avalon or the Riverside, contact improv at the Boulder Circus Center, rope play at Studio Friction… really depends on their curiosity and willingness to find adventures and play with novelty and growth edges.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to honor the teachers and communities who have helped me in my own journey of embodiment, somatic awareness, and healing early sexual and secrecy trauma. I’m especially grateful to Ellen Heed, PhD, creator of STREAM (Scar Tissue Remediation and Management), whose deep, whole-body research into scar tissue, sexuality, pleasure, and trauma has helped so many people recover from injuries, surgeries, sexual trauma, and CPTSD, and find health, vitality, and wholeness again. Deep bow also to Jaiya, creator of the Erotic Blueprints, for introducing me to the world where sexuality and spirituality meet in the body, and for generously offering her guidance and wisdom over my many years of apprenticeship with her.

I also want to thank my teacher Joseph Kramer, PhD, founder of Sexological Bodywork, for creating this profound profession centered on healing the whole human. I’m grateful to Josh Schrei for his yearlong Mythic Body program and the Emerald podcast, which have deepened my skill and reverence for ritual, ceremony, myth, and mystery. And thanks to Gil Hedley, creator of Integral Anatomy, whose reverence for anatomy and physiology has helped me understand bodies from the inside out — as expressions of the greater ecology, mystical, mysterious, and inseparable from the animate world around them.
