We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chase, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When thinking about starting Whole Health Club, we thought about solving an issue with the health industry. Something was and still is missing. Since the 50’s gym memberships per capita have increase almost directly in line with the obesity rate. The United States is now one of the countries with the most gym memberships, obesity, and lifestyle disease. So whole health club, the Plant Based Gym with the Kitchen was built to solve that issue by teaching true health, not simply ways to lose weight quickly.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Whole Health Club was built off years of experience, research and hard work. The original idea came from the experience I had as a strength coach and then a personal trainer. There was a huge gap in the education and support athletes receive, who are already in incredible shape, and what normal everyday people receive. Between nutrition, training based on outcomes, and the accountability everyone needs, we thought to bring that type of coaching to the everyday person to change health outcomes long term. We started on an individual level and then built Whole Health Club. This allows us to help people lose weight like most gyms, however what we do helps keep results far longer and when clients test their blood, it changes their insides too.

This is not an easy road because the general public is very confused about nutrition. So the education piece goes a long way. We want to inspire people but also utilize people of inspiration. There is a reason so many of the new age athletes are playing their sports for so long and training is only a piece. Fueling their body with the right foods is the how they gain an advantage. To combat this we use an inclusive approach, not an all or nothing. We want people to base their diet around plants, not give everything else up, unless they want. We have tons of resources built on this principle.

One of the toughest things we have gone through was COVID. It was very hard on the service industry and we were no exception. It is hard when people are told that one of the things to help them stay healthy is no longer healthy. So we made some adjustments and came out the other side stronger and excited for our mission of impacting the health of the nation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take them to Whole Health Club for a morning workout and then cooking class. After that we would go to Edgewater City Market to grab food. Then we would head to downtown so we could bounce around before catching a Rockies game. After that we would have to go for a Red Rocks show!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The challenge here is deciding who and what had the largest impact. So I will have a few. The first is my family. They have given me the tools and drive to want to pursue this huge endeavor. Our overall mission is to have Whole Health Club’s all across the country as a preventative health facility, and not once have they thought it isn’t possible. The book that peaked my interest when starting was the China Study. It set the course for the rest of my life at 22. It wasn’t what caused the whole switch to eating Whole Foods plant based, but it definitely started the crazy amount of research i did. And lastly my partners. They inspire me all the time to keep pushing and find a way to show people the impact we have on blood test results and more beyond simply losing weight.
