We had the good fortune of connecting with Dilean Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dilean, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my business was a no brainer to me once the Covid pandemic started taking an effect on life around me. I’ve always had a go and get it attitude towards life and so I decided to take my future into my own hands. I figured if I was home all the time due to the world basically being shut down then I might as well tighten up on my craft.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I think as an artist we are all different in our own way. My approach, style, technique, and determination really sets myself apart in my own mind. I started my brand Hennroccustomz really out of curiosity. I’ve always had that artistic bone in my body just never really did much with it. Growing up in a family full of artist whether it was actual drawings, musicians, builders, etc. I always felt connected to art. Something’s I ve learned when doing art is that you just really have to let loose. Art is something that flows, resisting what your mind creates causes tension and can really make it hard to get projects done. If there is anything I would really want people to know about Hennroccustomz, it would be that if you’re working with me you’re always getting my best !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It would be so hard to single out any one person so I’d honestly have to credit everybody around me. From my family, to the amazing mother of my child, to my friends, my supporters, spreading the word and promoting for me out of love has been extremely uplifting. I will always be thankful.
