Meet Trisha Leewitt | Hair Stylist & Lash Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trisha Leewitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trisha, what inspires you?
I love seeing my clients transform like a butterfly. A lot of women who come in for appointments are usually coming in because they want something new or they’re tired of what they have. After a good consultation, my creative juices are flowing and I can’t wait to get my hands in their hair. My all time favorite thing to do is turn my clients towards the window and away from the mirror so they get the ultimate “WOW” factor once their service is done.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Truthfully I love making people feel beautiful. We are all beautiful but sometimes having a little curl in our hair makes us feel on another level. Women who sit in my chair get an in-depth consultation and then a service customized to them completely. When you look good you feel good and I just want people always feeling great. I tell everyone who sits in my chair that they are my walking advertisement and if they aren’t LOVING their hair, we need to talk.
Communication is a main factor in anything, especially making humans feel the best possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Growing up in Pagosa Springs and now being able to call it home, I would always choose to show someone the beauty of what draws me here before anything! One of my all time favorite spots is Williams Lake – it’s just a little north and beyond gorgeous with a glassy lake. The mountain behind it actually looks like a sleeping Indian and I love taking my kids their to this day! Weather usually permits for some paddle boarding, fishing, and picnics. I also love to visit to nearby towns of Ouray, Lake City, And Silverton. There’s something about being completely surrounded by mountains that just make you feel “at home”. We have numberous lakes within an hour which makes a fisherman’s dream. If you’ve ever wanted to fish some of the prettiest mountain lakes, you are in the right spot. Some of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat are Rosie’s Pizzeria, Kips Grill and Cantina, and the Chavolos- especially if you are wanting a tasty drink! After dinner it’s never a bad idea to check out the River Walk which follows the beautiful San Juan River and is located in downtown!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Family. Family is absolutely everything and if it wasn’t for the love and encouragement they have shown me, I would be lost. My husband has always been so encouraging and says that my passion for my career is what made him follow his dreams. My mother has always been my biggest supporter and it showed once we had kids by taking them any chance she could so I could work or build my business. I couldn’t ask for a better support system to call my own and I’m thankful to have them in my corner. Family isn’t always blood and I’m also happy to call the salon a family. We work together daily and we truly do have a big impact on each other. Supporting each other is key.
