We had the good fortune of connecting with Alan Hyde and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alan, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued this type of career because I have found this type of industry fulfilling. It’s the type of career that gives me happiness and brings out my inner passion. When I was younger, I would be inspired by seeing some of my favorite artists at live events and feeling that energy that they had brought on stage during their performances. I’ve always found it fascinating when you speak to an artist and they give you an in-depth explanation on how it was to perform on stage, performing their favorite songs. What let me pursue podcasting was having those unique conversations with artists. It was really wholesome to get to know the artists on an intimate level, know their background, their journey, and how they became the artist that they are today. I think it’s awesome to be able to talk to many people from different walks of life and do a deep-dive on their artistry.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey started back as long as I can remember, from being a drummer in high school to learning how to become a DJ. Music has been an escape for me all of my life. I’m influenced and inspired by so many musicians across multiple genres of music. Even with content creation, I started my journey by listening and viewing some of my favorite podcasts. The idea of The Ravers Circle Podcast came when I was sitting in a villa during a festival weekend in Orlando, Florida. The rest was history and I knew that I could combine the two things that I enjoy, which is music and podcasts. I figured that talking about the genre that I love most while having my own platform to do it gave me the confidence to pursue this.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Denver, there are many places that I would take them. So the first place I’m taking them to is Denver Biscuit Company. I have to treat them to an amazing breakfast first thing in the morning to get the day started. Next up is Meow Wolf, and they will be in awe of how amazing the place is. It is very unique and so artistic in the way that it is constructed. Coors Field is next up on the list, mainly because that is one of the popular places in downtown Denver to go to. I feel like everyone has to experience one Colorado Rockies game at least once, even if you’re not into Baseball. Red Rocks Amphitheater is last on the list. This venue is regarded as the very best outdoor venue in the US, so it’s only fitting to attend a concert there. It would be the perfect icing on the cake to end the vacation with. So yeah, that’s exactly what my itinerary would be for a best friend visiting.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Major shoutout to the rave scene as a whole and everyone that lives by PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, & Respect). I also want to thank everyone that has supported me as a DJ, Producer, and Podcaster thus far. I appreciate all of the continued love and support. My family, friends, and supporters are such awesome people. I want to thank all of the artists in Electronic Dance Music that give me inspiration as well. People such as Kaskade, Carl Cox, deadMau5, Skrillex, and countless others have paved the way for me to even be in this space. Who knows what the future holds for me as a creator, but I’m looking forward to accomplishing all of the goals that I’ve set for myself.
