We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Medina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariah, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always loved the arts throughout my life. I started dancing since I was 4 years old and continued through high school. I also played in the school band from middle school and high school. I then began photography in high school and feel in love with it and continue to do it to this day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of how diverse my photography is. I take pictures of a variety of things and love to try new avenues. I got here today by practicing with my camera settings and new ideas. Some lessons I learned along the way are to always be ready to adapt to the unknown. I want the world to know that me and my brand are genuine and true to who I am.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my sister Ruthy. She inspires me to be creative and strive to achieve all dreams.
