Meet stephen sindon | Executive chef and owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with stephen sindon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi stephen, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
i was born and raised in New York state, my family owned many different businesses and was in distribution of bananas all around the county and surrounding cities, when i came along. my grandfather, was teaching me to cook, by the time i was 6 years old i was making linguini and clam sauce. I was always drawn to cooking it came naturally. i spent the last 27years perfecting my craft and worked in almost every environment except cruise ships. i have continued on my path and now i have wound up owning a restaurant in a small historic town which has been my dream.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
i have been in the hospitality business for over 27 years, I’ve seen a lot of things and accomplished many. it has been an up battle. nothing in life is easy or handed to you. you have to have fight in you to survive the ups and downs because there is usually more downs then ups, i have learned to not take anything for granted and be grateful for what you are given.

my business is Cadillac Hospitality LLC we are focused on offering the highest quality service, Catering and experience possible and the restaurant is Husky Burger, we are a Burger Bar, and we are going to go down in history as the best burger in Colorado.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
i would take them to Florence brewery for beers, Quincy’s ‘steak house for dinner, fishing at brush Hollow reservoir, husky burger for lunch, Ito’s Japanese sushi and steak house for dinner the next day. go hiking on one of the many hiking trails here in colorado. go to colorado springs to see garden of the gods and gold camp road, then head down to edelweiss restaurant for beers and food. maybe hang out in manitou springs for a day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
my grandfather Jim , and My Entire Family extended and all, for there love and continued support. i would not be here without them.
