We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariya and Josh Peterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariya and Josh, what do you attribute your success to?
Do it right. Whether it’s for your clients or for yourself. We believe that consistent quality is important to succeed in the bartending biz. We don’t ever want to throw together a menu for our clients that has been overdone. We prefer fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentations, so do our clients!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Mixology and pairings is an art, just like any other. As Mixologists and Sommeliers, we encourage the public to learn our techniques of beverage design. Through mixology courses and wine pairing classes, we are taking the steps to show others how easy and fun it is to create in this “medium”.

We are still a new company, getting our name out there has been a challenge as many corporate bartending services trump our views on the internet. One thing they don’t have…. Passion of teaching others the importance of using quality ingredients.

Our goal is to continue using elevated ingredients, this is our specialty. Fresh ingredients, mean fresh flavors, Along with our careful selection, we seek out sustainable spirit and wine brands for our courses and events. This means, no terrible ethanol flavors, and all ethically sourced!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being in the restaurant and hospitality industry means we know of all the best spots (and all of the fun). Denver is becoming a melting pot of cuisine. We love our mom and pop places such as Lao Wang Noodle House located off of Federal boulevard in the Westwood neighborhood. Incredibly comforting XLB always hits the spot! For drinks, we love a boujee cocktail to end the night- B&GC is a great spot to land with a drink in hand.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to recognize Aaron and Brittany Steinke, owners of Estate Brands. They have been our closest friends and mentors as fellow business owners in the hospitality industry. They have introduced us to many like minded industry professionals which have helped us mold and create new ideas and a vision for Just Quaffable.

Another shout out goes to our catering partner- Mark Dinh, owner of fish.on.rice. We have chosen to partner with him for private dinner pairings to form new flavors ideas that Denver has yet to offer to the public.
