We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Jasper Bartolome and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Jasper, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When Covid happened in 2020 and we had some down-time away from work, I suddenly had extra time on my hands to pursue some of my own passions in modeling, fashion and the Instagram world of influencing which exposed me to many business savvy, smart and beautiful entrepreneurial women who inspired me and made me want to become my own boss. Our daughter graduated from college at that time too and was no longer dependent on us.

I was ready for a new challenge and felt that I could bring my love for style and fashion, attention to detail, my upbringing and culture of extending kindness and gracious hospitality, and my many years of dental knowledge and experience together to create a dental practice unlike any other. One that strives to elevate all aspects of the dental visit from beginning to end with a luxurious welcoming space, friendly professional customer-oriented service, and personalized topnotch quality dental care for every patient that walks in the door. My husband Darryl had always encouraged me to start my own dental practice, so everything came together and the timing felt just right to start our own business.

What should our readers know about your business?
2thbar by Dr. B is Lone Tree’s Premier Dental Boutique. My husband, Darryl Bartolome, and I are the owners and co-founders of 2thbar where we deliver exceptional customer service and evidence-based high quality dental care to our valued clients in a luxurious and welcoming state of the art facility. Our focus is creating a dental experience that goes above and beyond what you typically expect from “going to the dentist”.

We are located in the heart of Lone Tree, CO in a beautiful clean modern office with lots of natural light and expansive views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver landscape. We created a physical space that feels warm and inviting. Our private treatment suites have the latest equipment and technology to ensure your ease, safety and comfort while receiving thorough gentle dental care.

I am the solo dentist at 2thbar and pride myself in meticulous attention to detail, friendly and accepting professional chairside manner and patient-focused treatment ensuring continuity of care. I am very hands-on in the daily aspects of running 2thbar and all my patients have direct access to me through phone calls, texts, e-mails and social media messaging. We provide comprehensive dental care, cosmetic dentistry and family dentistry, seeing all ages of patients from babies to the elderly.

I have been a dentist for over 20 years and worked in group practice, corporate and community health dentistry prior to opening 2thbar. I spent my childhood as a missionary in Ethiopia, East Africa and immigrated to the USA from the Philippines in 2005. I have also practiced as an RN in Texas before moving to Colorado in 2008. 2thbar is a culmination of my many years of knowledge and experience and a passion to elevate dentistry, to make each visit an enjoyable one for every person that will inspire and motivate them to maintain excellent oral health. A beautiful healthy smile helps you feel and function better and is an integral part of overall wellness. It also improves your confidence and quality of life; everyone deserves this, and we make it a reality at 2thbar.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love living in Denver with the convenience of city living and the beautiful Rocky Mountains in our backyard just a few hours away. If a friend came to visit, I would take her to the Cherry Creek North area to have coffee at Aviano’s, visit my private members club at the Clayton, browse the neighborhood boutiques and shop at Cherry Creek Shopping Center. We would have lunch at North Italia and dinner later at Le Bilboquet.

On another day, we would hang out at Park Meadows Mall, swing by to visit 2thbar and have dinner at Eddie V’s in DTC. The next day, we would hike the Flatirons, visit Pearl Street in Boulder, check out Red Rocks Amphitheater and try to catch a concert there.

We would plan a day trip to Breckenridge and then Vail, where we’d take the gondola up the mountain and get custom cowboy hats at Kemo Sabe. Another day trip would be to Colorado Springs to ride the cog railway up to Pike’s Peak and have one of their amazing donuts up there, stopping by the Garden of the Gods and the Airforce Academy, either on the way to Colorado Springs or back to Denver. Or we could go to Estes Park, take a ghost tour at the Stanley Hotel and hike up to Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. So many great things to do while enjoying the beauty of nature in Colorado!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout is dedicated to all my family and friends who love, support and inspire me. I wouldn’t be where I am without them and I’m truly blessed and lucky to have everyone in my life.
