We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy & Kayla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amy & Kayla, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Kayla & Amy both have a background in real estate with Kayla being a mortgage lender and Amy being a real estate agent. One common theme they were finding is that homes were missing the most important thing- JOY! Our goal is to bring women together to uplift, motivate, and provide inspiration and tools to create a heart & a home of JOY!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Every decision we make in our business and journey stems from a very specific question- how do we create more joy for women in their hearts and home?

This has been extremely challenging and means we’ve had to say no to many things. So many people like to give advice for what women should do, how they should behave, and what they should do. We instead took a step back and researched what a woman needs to find fulfillment in life and we found that a woman experiences joy when her cups of strength, wisdom, faith, grace, and love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh there is so much to do in Northern Colorado! If we were having a day with the families we’d start with breakfast at Urban Egg in Johnstown, then head over to Scheels to ride on the ferris wheel, drive up to Twin Silos Park in Fort Collins to play on the best playground ever, then end the day hiking and exploring in Estes Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I think who we owe much credit to the beginning of Blissful Nest is our Blissness group! After COVID-19 we created a group that would never do normal networking. It was a group of authentic, caring women who come together each month to share life and then every other month we do something crazy and out of the box like axe throwing, extreme karaoke, shatter rage rooms, and anything else that gets us out of our comfort zone.
