We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Larson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

I worked for a healthcare organization during covid. Due to the nature of covid, we were asked to see more clients in less time and were not offered support. As a result, I found myself becoming depressed. I also could not provide the level of service I wanted to give clients due to the constraints of my job. I knew I needed to make a change. I had always dreamed of opening a coaching business to empower people to harness the power of their intuition to lead their best life. So I took a leap of faith, left my job, and started a coaching and counseling practice. Here it is over a year and a half later, and I feel so happy and blessed to be doing what I love! I find it an honor to walk alongside people through their journey.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I got to where I am today by following my intuition. I am passionate about helping others uncover, recognize, and follow their truth. I wouldn’t say it has been easy, but it has been worth the challenge. My greatest fear was leaving behind a stable job with an excellent salary and benefits. I recognized that I could not stay healthy in that environment. I looked back on my life and wrote down every time I took a risk, and it worked out. This gave me the courage to move on.

Something else that helped me was to stay open to possibilities. I looked for ways that could help me start my own business that offered the income I needed. I work as a coach, a licensed therapist, and do consulting work. I love everything! Being open to possibilities has worked out well for me.

For anyone wanting to start their own business, I  recommend being open to the possibilities that are presented to you. I also recommend being creative about how you can make it work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

We would go to Golden, hike South Table Mountain, walk along Clear Creek River, and have lunch at Cafe 13.  For a non-hiking day, we would visit The Denver Art Museum, possibly see a play at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and eat lunch at Just Be Kitchen.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to Shoutout to two friends that supported me as I started my own business, Marcy Willard and Patti Dobrowolski. Marcy is the founder of cadey.co a child psychology tech startup. Patti Dobrowolski helps people draw their future, check out her ted talk. They are both geniuses in their own right and provide invaluable insight.
