We had the good fortune of connecting with Sydney Guan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I set my business up to be an aid to smaller local businesses who are not yet in a place to be able to invest in their digital marketing strategy. Though it is an afterthought, it is one of the most important ways to grow a smaller business. My goal is to give these companies a chance to grow through the proven methods of their competitors without having to pay as much as their competitors have. As an all in one marketing manager, I am able to keep relationships with my clients much more personal and hands on. Of course, it is rough competing with larger firms but with the personal touch of Blissful Media, I’m able to understand my client’s needs on a higher level and ultimately create a plan that is truly catered to them and their goals. Businesses also have the option to pay for my services in trade and bartering, opening up a new avenue for growing companies! I’ve worked as the marketing manager for an array of businesses, giving me the ability to apply what I’ve learned to nearly any niche, product, or service.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Monday we would stay in Colorado Springs because my friend is most likely still adjusting to the altitude! I’d take them to eat at Shuga’s in Old Colorado City for breakfast and then head up Old Stage Road to check out the Stage Cantina and some of the gorgeous views the Springs has to offer. Tuesday, we’ll head to Manitou Springs and walk the adorable downtown area. If they’re up for it, we’ll hit William’s Canyon for a breezy yet challenging hike up to the massive waterfall! That night, we’ll head to The Summit for some gaming and bowling!
Wednesday, we’re heading out to Breckenridge for a beautiful hike, a scenic trip down Main Street, and a visit to our wooden troll friend, Isak HeartStone! We’ll also be hitting pretty much every tiny mountain town on the way up so I can show them where I plan on living in the future.
Thursday, we’ll go to Denver to check out the art scene, cannabis scene, incredible food (Postino’s to be exact), and visit some of the amazing friends I’ve made up there.
Friday, we’re heading towards Telluride! A 3 day trip out to the ski resort to hit the trails and maybe grab a bite to eat in one of their little towns

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will take this chance to shout out the small non-profit I work with here in Colorado Springs called Because We Choose To! Started 8 years ago by my personal friend Kayla, this organization focuses on providing clothing, shoes, blankets, hygiene products, and other essentials to the homeless and less fortunate of our community. Donations are collected from around the city and handed out every month at Antler’s Park. I have been working with them for 4 years now and it has given me the chance to constantly serve my community and spread hope.
