Meet Michael Lasser | Exterior cleaning services business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Lasser and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I think as humans we all feel a sense of pride when we accomplish something great. I have held many amazing job titles and been a part of great things in my work history. All of these experiences have shaped me and the more I grew, the more I desired to create something of my own that would allow me to help more people on a bigger scale. My goal behind all of this is to build something amazing that gives every team member a sense of pride in what they do, allows them to build great lives for themselves and their families, all while making our customers life just a little easier.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Glass Monkey started with a clear goal to be different from the pack. We are in the people business. We just happen to professionals in all of the services we offer. The road to success never ends. This has been an incredible journey and it is just beginning. I have been fortunate to meet many amazing people along the way that without, none of this would be possible.
Perhaps that is the biggest tip I would give to anyone looking to start a business and put more out into the world. Network! We cannot do this alone. There are so many great people out there, eager to help.
We started with window cleaning as our only service and we transformed into an exterior cleaning company that offers services like gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, screen repair/replacement, pressure washing, exterior shutter installation, high ceiling dusting, and basement well clean outs.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I really do think we are in one of the best spots in the country so I do not think it is necessary to go far. I would definitely like the mountains to be a part of our getaway. There is something about a trip to the mountains with your truck packed with essentials, excited for a weekend of peace that does something to recharge the body.
The week would not be complete without some fishing and relaxing by the water. I always bring plenty of food when we have camping trips because I love to cook for friends and family so there would be some steaks and potatoes in the bag for sure. A perfect campfire cooked meal.
Can’t forget the coffee! Simple, fun, relaxing getaway.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first want to say. All of this, for all of us, would not be possible without our mothers. So first, Thank you Mom! My mother has always been my biggest fan and words cannot explain how much warmth that brings me.
Another shoutout that is very important to me is a close friend Derek Arosemena the owner of Right Touch Painting. Derek has been an incredible friend and mentor to me in business and in life. Words can seriously not express the gratitude I have for him and his family. Derek is a great example of what I aspire to be like one day. He is a living example of what is possible if you put God first, work hard, and consistently do the right things.
