We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaida Pervis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaida, what role has risk played in your life or career?
The biggest risk I have ever taken in my life was starting my own business. Fear of failure, not becoming sustainable, and not having enough finances were some of the biggest fears I faced in taking that risk. But the joy I feel from making successful matches is bigger than any of those fears, and makes being an entrepreneur worth the risk,

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Something that sets my matchmaking service apart is that I am a boutique. I offer bespoke and carefully curated matches in an environment that focuses on client relationships and experience. Before I started my business I worked for many years in large corporate matchmaking organizations. While it was difficult to step away from the safety and resources of a larger company, I have ultimately found that working for myself is more enriching and satisfying. I learned many valuable lessons from servicing the volume of clients at a larger matchmaking firm. I was able to develop a feel for what I enjoy most in the matchmaking process and sharpen my personal discernment. Now I am able to use those skills in selecting the intimate roster of clients I work with closely.

It’s important for me to let potential clients, and the world, know that my matchmaking firm is passion-driven. I believe that is the secret sauce so to speak. My personal belief in love is what drives me through every client interaction assuring that the process is always focused on what’s most important: long-lasting connection.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Grab a meal at Machete Tequila and Tacos in Lo-DO Incredible Craft cocktails at Forget Me Not in Cherry Creek, then be sure to head over to the highland neighborhood for some window shopping and be sure to hit the Weathered Wick for the best scented candles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For me, The Law of Attraction Series has provided a daily framework to help me navigate the stresses and challenges of being a business owner. I am also very grateful for my working relationship with my colleague Janice Formicella. She is a breakup and relationship coach based in the Denver metro area. While I focus on budding relationships, I value her expertise as a trusted voice when it comes to navigating the difficult parts when a relationship ends.
